Re: MIDI in/out in QEMU
Hello grebben, Back in the day OS9 machines struggled to manage complex audio/midi schemes. Midi only worked better. Muzys was the only sequencer that worked for me on a Performa 6030 and later iMac G5, with up to 8 audio tracks (but try for less). This was discontinued in 2003. You might find a wok...

Re: New MacOSX/OSX/macOS build for testing
Many thanks Ronald, it works for me.
Speedrun PPC gives me a measure of 320. (The latest QEMU is 325). I haven't tried the CD change yet.
So far so good.

MIDI in/out in QEMU
The latest build of QEMU is really exciting to use OS 9.2 again with good audio performance. I rarely use Sheepshaver now. My Atari ST Emulators also work very well. I prefer NoSTalgia .65 for most compatible functionality here. I have been able to instal OMS to work with Quicktime 5 Instruments and...

Re: Need Help Installing Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger into QEMU
So, how can I get internet networking from the host machine? Running Sierra with wifi. OSX 10.4 networking doesn't know about wifi yet? Sorry to seem such a newb.... No worries. I got it going somehow. QEMU is using the internal ethernet system. (I couldn't see a way to get wifi going....) Excellent!

Re: Need Help Installing Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger into QEMU
Thanks again. Your advice about the disk image solved my puzzle. I made a new disk image in Sierra's Disk Utility and repeated the full install from the beginning. After changing d to c, and disk order in qemu.command, then restart, the hd image booted to the setup and registration utility. The same...

Re: Need Help Installing Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger into QEMU
Hi, I'm assuming that Mac_Os_X_10.4_Tiger_For_Intel.iso is in fact a Tiger for PPC dvd image? Yes. It's a binary installer. (I got it from the internet.....) You say you have been able to install onto the 40gigs.img and the only thing that happens is that you cannot boot from that hard disk image? ...

Re: Need Help Installing Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger into QEMU
Thanks for all your work so far. I have been having trouble running OSX 10.4.7 in QEMU on my Late 09 iMac in Sierra. So far I have been able to boot the install disk image and install onto my HD image. I can mount the disk image with Sierra and see all the files have been installed, but I can't figu...

Just so you know, I have SheepShaver 2.4 (2014-02-01) working on macOS Sierra my Late 2009 iMac.
No changes were needed to my El Capitan setup.

I've got Game Sprockets 1.7.5 working on OS 9.04.
There's no "problem", but the USB stuff isn't any better.

Re: Good SheepShaver gone bad in OS 10.6.7
That was a good tip about removing those audio extensions. My OMS midi setup still works (phew).
There is a newer test version 2.4 (2013-07-26) here:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~ronaldpr/sheepsha ... 6_test.zip
That works well for me. In Mavericks 64 bit.

Re: Anybody tried SheepShaver on OS X Mavericks?
Yeah, it works. I used the SheepShaver Prefs utility to set Full Screen. That looks good, but I prefer in a window myself.
But it started up in Black/White to begin with. Set to 250 colours in the control strip.
Works with Quake, Sim City 2000, and MacChess.

If you could figure out how to get CORE MIDI and CORE Audio working with OMS it would be handy.

Re: OpenGL library could not be ...
Just for info. My OS9.0.4 runs with OpenGL 1.1.3
I would like to use Myst III as well. It comes with QT5 on the disc, but sheepshaver is only supposed to be good up until QT4.1.2. (Don't install QT5 I say. It was horrible on my real Mac 6030. QT6 was a big improvement.)

Re: Sheepshaver -> USB -> Serial Port -> Opcode OMS ?
Nice to see some activity on this subject. I would also like to use OS9 midi in/out very much. So far I have been able to setup OMS 2.3.8 and QT4 to work with midi instruments within OS9. So, I can use simple sequencing DAW (with older VSTs) and audio programs "all in the machine". It woul...

Re: Old Application Problems (OpCode Music Shop)
For what it's worth, you might be able to access standard MIDI sounds from the Quicktime Music Player once OMS is set up properly. I don't know Music Shop. 1) Instal OMS 2) In OMS Preferred Device control panel select Quicktime Music 3) in OMS Setup enable Quicktime Music If I knew how to add a scre...

Re: Old Application Problems (OpCode Music Shop)
I'm enjoying the latest SS 2.4 on my 2010 iMac with Snow Leopard 10.6.8. OS 9.04 runs well enough. Warcraft II is playable again. This is about MIDI (again). Like others I'd love to be able to access MIDI data to/from connected keyboard(s) in a Classic-style sequencing environment. (I have a ...
