Re: Yosemite: Command Button Responsiveness
I'm not having any problems with slirp for Internet, so I'm not sure what's causing the other user's issue. I last ran Sheepshaver on Mountain Lion and it worked great. I might set up a Mavericks system to check for differences. Unchecked 32 Bit mode. Command button issue still persists in 64 bit mo...

Yosemite: Command Button Responsiveness
I've been noticing issues in Sheepshaver since upgrading to Yosemite. I was using Photoshop to apply some filters when I discovered that sometimes the system forgets that I'm pressing the command button, and instead triggers a photoshop tool key. For example, when trying to repeat a filter with comm...

Display Resolutions
For those of you adjusting your screen render size, here is a useful wikipedia display resolution reference image you can use to find functional 4:3 ratio sizes (the red ones): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Vector_Video_Standards4.svg For example, I have success running at 1280 x 960 in window m...

Re: Updated SheepShaver icon ! (Win/OSX)
I tested out some ideas with macomaniac's design in inkscape but didn't complete a design due to the techincal complexity. It will be important to minimize the amount of unused space for the icon for it to work. That may mean reducing the size of the sheep. The other issue is the amount of busy line...

Some nice designs. I could probably polish up that sheep design.
Here is my design from several months ago.

Finder: Close parent folder by default?
Is there a way to make the option key + open folder for opening a folder and closing its parent action the default method of opening folders? I'm used to how OSX handles it and was wondering if there is either a setting or a preference option I've overlooked. Perhaps there is an obvious answer to th...

Re: Mac OS 7.x Applescript 1.1 Resources?
Thanks for the tip. That site looks like a good resource! Here's what I've found: http://scriptweb.com My script works!!! My problem is that hide is not a defined variable in AppleScript 1.1. You need to use 'set the visible of process "x" to false'. So it's done. I can use a WAV or a SND,...

Re: Using SheepShaver with Mountain Lion 10.8.2 ...
kingdariush99, you're likely referring to the emulator thinking that the physical cd in your actual disc drive is an unformatted volume. This has happened to me before as well. To know for sure, if you ignore this volume, it may prompt the disc to be ejected from your computer. As always, create ima...

Re: So.. I bricked my Mac :/
I'll check through my old software and see what I can find. I doubt I'll be finding anything unique, but you never know... :) I still have all of my old floppy disks but no means to access them presently. I have all my Mac Addict magazine CDs. Not sure if my SCSI card will work from Mountain Lion, b...

Making Sound Work OS9 (10.8.2 (Hackintosh))
I was having issues getting sound working. I solved the problem by... Disabling Apple Audio Extension Maybe this will help you. Maybe it wont. :P Will this impact my ability to use any applications? I doubt it but I just want to be sure and ask the gurus here. I just assumed it was essential and lef...

Re: trouble finding os 8 disk
I can't find my copy as well. If you have any luck let me know. I'll go rummaging through boxes to see if mine is still around. I suspect it's hiding in a box up in the loft of the garage. I've found everything else but that disc, and a missing spare Centris CD caddy.

SheepShaver Icon Design
To 'pretty up' my dock where SheepShaver resides I have decided to draft a new icon for it. Here is the current candidate with a tip of the hat to the 'Mac OS' logo thrown in. http://i.imgur.com/bE5u00n.png Good, bad, ugly? On another version I made it a little more like the BasiliskII logo with an ...

Mac OS 7.x Applescript 1.1 Resources?
Are there any good websites focusing on the old Applescript 1.1 software? I hardly ever use applescript, but in Basilisk II I was experimenting with it. I'm testing the playing of a wav file using SoundApp 68k as a startup item and wanted to know if there was a way to hide the application. The file ...

And I'm alright with that. :) Hello everyone! I'm new to the forums. I wanted to thank all of you regulars for the great effort put into getting old systems emulated!! Now here's a little about my trip to Emaculation.com... I've been lurking for a long time, tempted by the thought of reviving my cl...
