this post goes to all users, who wanted to run the LucasArts Mac game Full Throttle in any PPC Mac OS 9 emulator and witnessed sound stuttering problems, due to the Virtual Memory Setting must be on in order to get the emulation work properly.

Addendum:
On inspecting the /usr/lib/ directory, there is indeed no sign of the libncurses.5.4.dylib on my Mac with macOS Monterey 12.7.6.

Re: Qemu-system-m68k macOS to run Mac OS 7-8 /AUX3.x /NetBSD
Hello,
I can confirm the linking error message.
On solely starting "./qemu-system-ppc" from the Qemu-system-ppc-screamer-macOS-universal-05-01-2025 release folder on macOS Monterey 12.7.6,
I get the same error message, saying /usr/lib/libncurses.5.4.dylib not found.
Perhaps you need to upgrade ...

Re: Emulating Myst (1993)
No did not try it in ScummVM, I haven't downloaded that version yet. Usually I buy all games as original. So maybe someday I buy the Masterpiece edition for Windows, who knows. Right now I have ordered Real Myst via Ebay:-) Let's see if that works on my Mac mini 2006.

Myst works in Qemu/Catalina/Mac OS 9 with sound flawless without the timing issue related to the t107 bug.

Re: Screamer, 9.2.2 & Adventures with Sound
Ok! I stripped the bad arguments.
But still no sound((
(Same applies to my Mac OS X Qemu VMs.)
I don't see the Audio Device in the System Profiler or System Settings.
I don't see the "spatializer audio laboratories" item.
I go crazy.

Re: Screamer, 9.2.2 & Adventures with Sound
I have Virtual Memory on.
I can though see the Qemu USB Audio in the System Profiler and can choose it in the Sound Control Panel.
When I play the Sound from the Scrapbook the System hangs.

Re: Power Mac G4 Install CDR image / Mac OS 9.1 / not bootin
I have an idea.
Maybe my Power Mac G4 Install.iso does not boot behind the blinking disk because it was ripped on an Intel Mac.
Could that be the problem?

Thanks!

Re: Power Mac G4 Install CDR image / Mac OS 9.1 / not bootin
I'm stuck again:( Inside the Qemu emulation the Mac OS shows the blinking disk with "?". It still won't boot from cd. I tried to eject and change the cd from the menu but that didn't work. What can I do?

Re: Power Mac G4 Install CDR image / Mac OS 9.1 / not bootin
You are a f***g genius!!! This software is magic! I even successfully converted my CDR into ISO with this app and started the Qemu with this image und came to the point where the Mac OS is asking for a boot medium showing me a ? disk symbol. Let's hope I'm coming further! Thanks a lot!!!

Ok thanks for your replies! When I get access to the original cds at my father's place I will create ISO's with "dd" on the Bash as always proposed by you or others here in the forum. I guess the CDR image made by Mac OS X is the problem-thanks for clearing that out! I have also a PowerBook G3 ...

Re: Power Mac G4 Install CDR image / Mac OS 9.1 / not bootin
The CDR image is valid I think. I have a Pather Qemu emulation and successfully added the Power Mac G4 Install.cdr to this and could even install the system software Mac OS 9.1 on a disk image. But even the installed Mac OS on this disk image won't boot into my Mac OS Qemu emulation. This is weird(((
