Re: Something about the wiki...
Sometimes a discussion here in the forum results in writing a manual or other article for the wiki for which it is useful to give a specific user the possibility to write and/or maintain that article in the wiki. The administrators and moderators here in the forum are the ones with admin privileges...

Re: Something about the wiki...
I am not sure why this makes you angry. This wiki is intended to be used as (read-only) source of information. The wiki privileges are independent from the forum privileges. There are only 10 wiki users who can login and edit (some) articles. Four of them have admin privileges. One user with editor...

Something about the wiki...
I've been pondering around the E-Maculation wiki lately, and I pointed out some things that I thought could be explained. Sometimes I feel like this place is a little strict with certain features. For example, the wiki has no open registrations, and there are restrictions on editing articles. If tha...

Re: Is E-Maculation dying?
Snip Anyone can edit Wikipedia. Feel free to edit the page if it makes you happier. Actually, I'm fine. Ronald was right about how the original SheepShaver creator abandoned the program in 2006. I was just making a statement. It's good that SheepShaver is still alive, thanks to the E-Maculation com...

Re: Is E-Maculation dying?
Yeah, but according to the Wikipedia page on SheepShaver , this emulator has not had a stable release since its 2.3 release on May 14, 2006. Well, depends on what one calls a stable release. It is the latest release by Gwenole Beauchesne, who abandoned the project shortly after that. Development of...

Oh, I see.
Anyway, let's not have off-topic chatter in here. What we are currently talking about doesn't have much to do with this poll. Just saying

Re: Is E-Maculation dying?
Out of curiosity, have you been viewing these forums by "view unread posts"? Yes I do. I always read new topics and topics with new replies. I ask because this past week has involved 4 updates to SheepShaver and significant discussion about emulation improvements. Version 2.5 just got rel...

Re: Is E-Maculation dying?
Being a relative newcomer of around 10 years (I just used to lurk before that), I can say that there's been more activity on here (especially in the SheepShaver and QEMU forums) over the past year than I've seen before, other than the single QEMU thread that started building momentum in 2015 and ha...

Is E-Maculation dying?
I was just wondering. Because it seems that this community isn't very active, and almost everyone is barely online. Though the front page of the E-Maculation wiki claims that this site runs a busy community, it doesn't really seem like it (no offense, this is a pretty nice place). Did something happ...

Maybe it's just a typo. It happens.

Re: Can Only See a Portion of the Screen
It looks like your screen resolution in the prefs file is set to 160x120 -- did you miss some 0s? I also found something similar to what you posted when doing a Google search on this. Something about setting the screen resolution to 1024x768. Anyway, maybe that could be the OP's problem, according ...

Re: Custom icon for sheepvm?
Cool, but maybe you could improve on making the transition effect with the SheepShaver mascot. I think maybe instead of having the sheep fade into the Mac, you could have the sheep climb out the map, kind of like a unicorn. But other than that, nice project, definitely went with the middle one, LOL.

Re: Unidentified QEMU program
Hi, This seems an older graphical front end for Qemu. It contains all machines Qemu can emulate, but they will most likely be outdated. I have no idea whether it can be updated with newer Qemu versions. Additionally, it is not to be expected that it supports all recent command line options. The dev...

Unidentified QEMU program
I recently came across a download for some program for QEMU, known as "QEMU Manager". I installed this program to inspect it, and it seems different from the original QEMU software (the one with a bunch of separate apps for different CPU architectures). QEMU Manager seems to install any op...

Re: Help With Installing QEMU
What I'm saying is, I can't locate the QEMU program itself in my computer's start menu, instead it's just an HTML document titled "User Documentation". The .exe file I decided to use is the x86-64 version, which those files are only present in my Program Files folder. Questions: Are you s...

Re: Help With Installing QEMU
Yes, QEMU was installed correctly. It's just that you want to make sure you install only the CPU types you need, mainly PPC(32). What I'm saying is, I can't locate the QEMU program itself in my computer's start menu, instead it's just an HTML document titled "User Documentation". The .exe...

Help With Installing QEMU
Greetings, So I recently installed QEMU as one of my hypervisors (I use quite a few emulations programs), because I wanted to try it out. But I'm having one problem. I don't know if I installed the software properly. The reason for that is because of the program's appearance; in my computer's start ...
