Has anyone preserved any builds of a game called "ShiftOS"?
"ShiftOS" is a game where you get hacked by the developer of the OS called "DevX". You have been selected to become a alpha tester for the OS, and when you first get it, it's extremely barebones. You have to earn "Codepoints" and spend them on upgrades in the "Shif...

Re: Has Anyone Seen Paul C. Pratt Online in the Last Year?
First, I got COVID on May 13th, 2022, and now the number on Paul's listing suddenly stopped working. That's more than just bad.
I've sent a message to Paul via the feedback form, let's hope it does something.

Re: Has Anyone Seen Paul C. Pratt Online in the Last Year?
Well, the state of the world didn't start going bad until early 2022, and he went inactive in mid 2021. Should clear things up and make everything less worrying... hopefully.

Re: I got Apple's Official MAE 3.0 emulator for HPUX running in Windows
I think that if you start a X server on the host, you can add usermode networking to QEMU, then do something like and then run the MAE 3.0 Emulator from the terminal, you can get the UI (not the actual emulator itself) running on the host.
Code: Select all
export DISPLAY=local_ip_here:0

Why do we suggest using raw disks instead of qcow2 images?
qcow2 images are dymanically-expanding, instead of pre-allocating all the space at once, which allows to save space.

And just to let you know, that's Windows for Workgroups 3.11, not Windows 95.

Get local IP of Mac OS 7.6.1 Guest
I setup a FTP server using Better Telnet 2. I can use Fetch 2.1.2 to connect to it fine on the guest, but on the host with Filezilla, I can't connect to it because I can't get the local IP. I am using slirp. However I can connect to my Telnet server on my Ubuntu 18.04 VM by entering the local IP of ...

Re: Qemu m68k will not work!
I'm only using QEMU because when I tried to boot up Mac OS 7.6.1 with Basilisk II, it would not work. The Mac IIci ROM would not work, but the IIsi would display a white screen.

Qemu m68k will not work!
I tried doing the Qemu m68k. I downloaded a ROM, I made the images and made the pram size 256b. I just get a white screen and I copied the lib folder over. I downloaded QEMU for Windows and copied the QEMU files over from my program files. What is happening?!?!

Will there ever be a version with hardfloat patches without sound?
There's some QEMU builds with hardfloat patches, but those contains sound. I want a build with hardfloat patches which makes QEMU faster, but without sound. I don't know where the Mac PPC source is so I can compile hardfloat without sound QEMU myself. Will there ever be a version with hardfloat patc...
