Re: Softmac Emulation bugs
Thank you for the timely response. Since this is a pure hobby, I will try the other two you recommended. I was also going to see if I built my own rom off of my MacIIsi I have in my hobby room, maybe would fix my issue.

Softmac Emulation bugs
By far I have found SoftMac to be versatile supporting SCSI partitions. The only gripe I have is any security based software (FileGuard/EmpowerII) lock up the emulator with 100 percent CPU. The CPU is a symptom of a bigger problem. I am using Mac2Si and Mac2FX roms and system 7.5.3 and 7.1 do the ex...

Re: Basillisk Creating SCSI drives apples HD/SC Setup recognizes
What about build 94 of Basilisk II? I see SCSI options. I know its old and booted my mac with it. Is there any documentation on setting up SCSI disks? I was able to now setup SCSI from Windows XP to my MAc, but the drive will not stay persistent. Silverlining sees it, mounts, but the Mac will not bo...

Re: Softmac ROMS
I am not glued to softmac, but what I am looking for is SCSI emulation ;). I used to do a lot of security pen testing and have a lot of experience with SCSI encryption ;). I need a playground. Any emulator other than softmac that can create scsi partitions? If so lead the way ;) The roms came from a...

Is there something in the future to emulate SCSI? Having my Old Mac on my Mac is the coolest thing. I stay away from windows for obvious reasons

Re: Getting Files from my MacII si to my Basillisk System 7
After making sure there is no .DS Store, I get a different error. I am able to easily convert the other executable files, but not the .sits When I mount the volume, the mac has me format the disk. Creating disk image. Disk image creation failed: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=4 "The file ...

Basillisk Creating SCSI drives apples HD/SC Setup recognizes
Is there a way to fool the OS so the apple system tools can format the disks? I have some old security software like Empower that cannot perform volume lock.
Thank you

Getting Files from my MacII si to my Basillisk System 7
Hi everyone.
I am really struggling with getting my downloads from my MAC Mojave to a usable disk image. I create the image, but the filesystems are not compatible.
Any thoughts?
Thank you
-Stephen

Re: Basillisk II launches by its self but wont launch from the gui
Version 1.0.
The path is correct.
The GUI is version 1.0 non beta. The beta version did not give me the ability to create a folder but only volumes.
Does the bootable OS require any special drivers to see the location? I have system 7.0.1 for the guest.

Basillisk II launches by its self but wont launch from the gui
Hi everyone. I have Mac Mojave and have this emulator working. I have two symptoms: 1. The GUI wont launch the Basillisk app. I run it manually 2. The Unix drive does not appear for the files to install on my guest. Once again the app launches manually and both apps exist together. I should have men...
