Re: Beta version of new Basilisk II GUI

Ronald, after following your advice, I am now getting it to work correctly! Finally! Thank you for the assistance. One question though. I see you are using a " delay 0 " instruction in your example prefs file. I cannot find a description of that here: https://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/b...

Re: Beta version of new Basilisk II GUI

Which GUI version do you use? The latest version 0.22 should work fine for creating new disk images. It can be downloaded from the first post in this topic. Even though development of the GUI app is ongoing, I really do need to point out that it's still an unhelpful app for those of us who want to ...

Thank you for your continued guidance. I downloaded "Mac Magazin 01.iso" (665.6MB in size) and then double-clicked it. I get an error that says what I told you before... "The disk you attached was not readable by this computer." With only the following 3 button choices: Eject Ign...

Sorry, but I have no idea what you mean. You seem to be telling me to click on s...

Re: FUSE-HFS now works on Monterey!

Reinstalling macOS leaves your settings in place and often solves problems with programs that don't work. It can't do any harm. True, but as you said, "it leaves settings in place." So even after I go to the trouble of reinstalling MacOS Monterey, if it still does not work, someone in thi...

Re: FUSE-HFS now works on Monterey!

I do not use MacFUSE and I do not intend to install it as i want to avoid, now deprecated, kernel extensions. The result of course is that very few people on Apple Silicon Macs have given it a try. So I am not surprised or swayed by the success stories. If we had a larger pool of testers, no doubt ...

Re: FUSE-HFS now works on Monterey!

Again, the problem is not macFUSE - the problem is that the macOS Finder (NOT macFUSE) cannot read the card and find the disk image (or images) on the card, which would then let macFUSE open those images. macFUSE, as you can see by other reports is ideal for reading disk images on storage media tha...

Re: FUSE-HFS now works on Monterey!

Thank you for confirming that MacFuse cannot help to read any kind of HFS disk, which is what an HFS formatted SD card is. I was not aware of that, hence my posts in this thread. Of course, Iā€™m now a bit confused what the software is even for, but the end result is the same, not a solution for me. T...

What problems are you having with MacFUSE? Does MacFUSE work for you otherwise? No. Which is a huge issue. Your see, I need that HFS access functionality on a modern M1/M2 Mac to access the SD card used by the TashTwenty product . The reason is because, unfortunately, Tash20 seems to use an HFS formatted SD card, with all vintage Mac files ...
