Re: MAME Power Macintosh 6100 boots!
This is using MAME c6cdeb1e4af49e3e7c4bc41f761e0e956097ee82 but on i686 system (Slackware 15.0)
I wonder if this strange stripping background in Demos page (second and next ones) from 7.1.2 CD actually bug or just known imprefection?

Yes, lovely, isn´t it? have you also tried the usb-audio fix?
Best,

No, not yet. I hope to restore some tracing lines from smp patch first. (I applied pieces with plain patch, so they just hang there uncommited)
Tried it.

Kind of a moot point anyway, as the graphics stack is hopelessly broken in PPC Big Endian upstream anyways, but runs just fine with PPC Little Endian. So if folks want to run PPC linux they can just use the pSeries machine in qemu-system-ppc64.
Well, older Linuxes also exist, at Debian 8 ...

a bit more experimentation.

Re: Anyone still with x86 mac and hvf-enabled qemu?
I run into weird problem/bug, but it was coldly received at QEMU upstream
https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/issues/2646
fixed this by using other openCore qcow2 file. But it does not work on my AMD machine with kvm, so I think I'll keep them both.

Build was ok (on Slackware 15.0 i586/x86-64 hybrid).
For some reason build with just pure alsa was not starting, so I ran pulseaudio-enabled build with apulse and it currently plays an internet radio with self-compiled mplayer!
It probably must be noted that currently Screamer only goes as 44100 ...

Re: Firewire Pass through
Not as far as I'm aware -- it does USB passthrough, but I don't think a Firewire device is ever set up?
That said, there's https://github.com/pdmccormick/qemu-firewire-ohci/ -- and I can see a number of similar projects dating back to 2009.
And the QEMU docs pull up GSOC 11 and GSOC 12 projects ...
