Hi,
Once you fixed that incompatibility is there any chance this could be converted into an ndrv ?

Re: Mouse & Shared folder
Hi Elliot, Lovely, I just tried this on Linux host. I'm not sure, but Windows host might not be able to parse the command line. I can´t seem to get the mouse to move in Mac OS 9.2. The driver does something as the mouse moves out of the Qemu window without first releasing it. Mac OS 10.3 seems to wo...

Re: OSX 10.4 Tiger cannot connect to the internet.
Hi, I have no idea why internet would not work besides that the driver might not have been updated correctly when upgrading. I attempted to reproduce while booted from 10.0 (with working internet) with a 10.4.6 dmg set as cdrom. When I started the installer from the DVD it told me to restart from th...

Re: OSX 10.4 Tiger cannot connect to the internet.
Which version of Qemu are you running? and which minor version of OSX 10.4?
What does the system profiler show you at the network entry?
Is the disk image you use available somewhere?

I assume you cannot click "on" and then "apply now" in the network port configuration screen?

Re: OSX 10.4 Tiger cannot connect to the internet.
Hi,
It should indeed by default have network access.
But as it hasn't you can try to add the following to your command line:
-device sungem,netdev=network01 -netdev user,id=network01
What do your 10.4 system preferences say at Network, Show Network Status and Built-in Ethernet?

Re: Linux x86 64-bit builds for SheepShaver, Basilisk II
Yes, I (reluctantly) installed, ran once and then uninstalled without reboot. On Fedora I was warned about installing a non-trusted third party tool. My first impression from the readme that it was actually required. In my humble opinion using/advertising the appimage launcher creates an additional ...

Re: Linux x86 64-bit builds for SheepShaver, Basilisk II
Hi, I notice there are some inconsistencies in the readme on the github site. The files downloaded are named differently from what the readme says. (e.g. SheepShaver.AppImage vs macemu-amd64-sheepshaver.AppImage) Also, downloaded files cannot be executed? chmod +x macemu-amd64-basilisk2.AppImage ./m...

Re: SheepSaver running off boot image but won't install OS
Our guide says to not select the option to update the disk drivers: In some configurations the system installation may stall at the very beginning while “Updating Apple hard disk drivers”. It seems to happen especially with some system install CD disk images. Wait at least several minutes to be sure...

Hi,
I wouldn´t know. When your virtual hayes modem creates a virtual com port can´t you set BasiliskII to communicate to that?
Or does your virtual modem open the real com port?

Hi, I don't believe that such option is available right now. I saw some patches (march 2022) that promise: This change brings two new features: - The window will be resizable if "Zoom To Fit" is eanbled (sic) - The window can be made full screen by clicking full screen button provided by t...

Re: Problem with running an old game installer
Hi,
Is the iso set to read only in the Explorer?
Can you copy the file(s) onto your Basilisk hard disk before trying to run the installer?
If that doesn't work there might indeed be a problem with the files.

Hi, and welcome,
To understand your situation better, please tell us:
What host system are you using?
In what shape do you have the game available? As disk image (.iso)? Real CD? As files in your shared folder?
Which game does this concern?

Re: Linux x86 64-bit builds for SheepShaver, Basilisk II
Cinnamon warns when using software rendering. It did not warn, and I would have noticed as it becomes dead slow. But I had an nvidia driver etc update today. That driver provides opengl. The update process is not always as clean as one would want. I've had issues with sdl/cinnamon/wayland before whe...

Hi,
That I wouldn't know.
EDIT: When I run gnome on Xorg SheepShaver does not crash without sdlrender setting.
EDIT2: More confusion: after a successful run with gnome/xorg SheepShaver now also runs on the cinnamon desktop.

Re: Sheepshaver won't open on M1 Pro Mac (version 12.0)
Hi, This issue pops up on the forum every now and then. We don´t have a real solution for it. We believe it has something to do with SheepShaver trying to use memory space already in use by some other program. But it might also be a permissions issue. So you can try to run SheepShaver after a fresh ...

Re: Mounting USB 1 host devices
Hi, Passing through USB devices is like running into a minefield. Very much hit and miss, partly due to your host possibly hogging the device and partly due to a bug in Qemu's ohci (USB 1.1) handling for certain composite devices. The speed mismatch is caused by the device being USB 1.1 while you mo...
