I'm right with ataxy (specs and results wise). It's defenetly not a power issue, because I can run OS 9.0.4 on gentoo just fine with JIT enabled. But in Windows is where that happens. Besides, with your logic, there'd be no way in hell that we'd be able to run OS X on PCs until we all had 200Ghz pro...

Trying to find the cause for JITC errors.
If your box can run SheepShaver w/ JIT enabled, without getting errors or hangage, then can you take a few seconds to post what ROM, CPU, and Operating System you're running (If Windows, then what version and SP)? Gotta see what's causing this. Because from what I see, it works for some people, and ...

Unrelated to the post above me, but, I've noticed that SheepShaver won't work for me when jit is enabled If I try to use jit normally, it hangs during boot.. But it -will- work when I disable extensions (Mind you, no text is visible. Anywhere, as in, it works, but no text), or turn jit off. Is this ...

OS 8.5 Install freezes whilst loading.
Er, ok. I have the OS 8.5 install CD, though it keeps freezing at a certain point and won't go any further. I successfully installed it a while ago on the Linux version of SheepShaver, so I don't know why It's not working now. Either way, this is what always happens, (hangs there): http://img.photob...

Just realized this: My new linux does not have grahpics accelearion yet! That means that linux is even faster than I thought, since my windows DOES use graphics acceleration! That's 18% increase even without graphics acceleration. Linux is MUCH faster. Linux is faster ? REALLY!? Get the pol...

this is one of those things that never ends because everyone thinks everyone else is annoyed, when no one really is. *please don't flame me for saying anything you don't like!* but seriously, this thread's kinda lame. if no one's learning anything from it, it shouldn't be on a forum. that's what i ...

Tut, tut - we do have a temper when we get a taste of our own medicine don't we. I'm glad that you see that it's wrong to be insulting to others, so why don't we just end this post on your apology and try not to be insulting in future? Who's lost his temper? That's not what you said. You said that his son was an idiot, and you didn't qualify it in any way. Which totally destroys your argument that you don't resort to petty insults, and shows that you have no repect for the rights of others except where you deem that it is a right. I really would give u...
