Networking always worth a surprise

Hi everybody, since I had to reinstall Mac OS X (Panther), I am stuck setting up my network in order to interact with Windows. So, this time, my problem is the following: Once I started up PearPC (latest prasys Smokin' build) two days ago, everything went fine. Mac OS X had found all the necessary s...

I resolved the problem, actually it was a bit tricky, although easy to solve, once you know, what could be the cause. I just had to set my config file to "select" partitions/disks at startup and then manually select the partition. Voilà, that's all. I should remember this for the future.

If I got it right, Jens said that we shouldn't expect something to be released soon - sadly :(

I'm starting to get mad! I have been trying for two days now, to reinstall OS X - without success. It doesn't even matter which hard disk image I choose. Either the install just stops with some error or I can't finish the damn installation because I'm asked to put in the second CD. If I do so (i.e. ...

PearPC doesn't work correctly after 10.3.8 update

Hi everybody, as I described in this topic , I encounter problems with PearPC since I have upgraded it OS X to 10.3.8. After loading everything on startup, the screen stays blue, the cursor regularly disappears while the "turning wheel" appears for some instants and that's it. Having a loo...

I don't know if it has to do with the upgrade, but my PearPC installation doesn't seem to work anymore (tried various builds).
So, I can't tell whether anyone experienced similar problems or not, but maybe I should advise you to be careful.

@wiebeest: I think it's not only about run ning "outdated" OSes like OS9.x, but also about PPC Linux distros, which currently don't run with PearPC. Many people should think of PearPC as what its original purpose is, i.e. being a PPC emulator, not primarily a Mac OS X virtual machine! Don'...

Oh yes, it would be fine if anyone could post some kind of manual to run SheepShaver on OS X. Does it actually run upon PearPC? I tried, but never got it to work. What are the requirements? What about X11? How to create a hard disk file, which format does it require etc. I ran over some related topi...

Isn't it possible to tweak the BII GUI so that it works with SheepShaver?
Many of the functions are similar so there's no need to change much of it and it's pretty handy too.
Would be cool if someone could do this.

Because I'm so curious about a new release of Kwai, I regularly have a look in this forum to see if the topic's updated. So, my question is: when can we expect the new version to be released? I think that something like CherryOS (although I'm pretty sure it's a fraud) urges PearPC to get a good GUI ...

Those screenshots look great - I look forward to the new version. BTW the name is better now - sounds much cooler (smoother)! I think it would be great to implement Kwai into PearPC as a basic feature - this would a leap forward in terms of usability, although PearPC has become MUCH easier in use, s...

I like your program. The only thing you should think about is the name. In my opinion KwaiStub sounds not very cool. Maybe you should make a poll about a name or something. Maybe I can suggest one or so. Anyway, when can we await another release, because the screenshot from 0.2 looks great - wait, t...

Maybe one could create a bootable DVD-RAM, since it is used like a harddisk and data is written/read on-the-fly. The only problem is that there are few DVD burners which support DVD-RAM, like the LG drives. I think I'll get myself one of these... (until then I will have to stick with my Sony DVD bur...

Obviously, at least for me, there is no .ocx file included in the VB6 SP6 (nor SP5) runtimes. Could you send them (all the required files) to me or upload them somewhere? Maybe they should be linked on the PearPC Control Panel homepage.
