Re: ROM Checksum Identification Tool?
Hahaha! I feel challenged now. I have many builds and beta versions of Fusion PC 2.0 up to Fusion PC Update 2.3.1. And Fusion PC 1.2.1. I will try it out on VMware. I'll need the proper sound and CD-ROM drivers configured in autoexec.bat and config.sys. Are you using Fusion 3.0 which was adulterated...

ROM Checksum Identification Tool?
Hi all! I recently was gifted VMware Workstation and have been enjoying setting up old software on a XP guest OS, including using Basilisk II running Mac OS 8.1. I have a number of unlabeled ROM files from back when I bought dozens of 68k Macs off eBay starting around 20 years ago and wish to delete...

Re: CDROM for SheepShaver on Ubuntu/Linux
Then I built it adding an #include <limits.h> since GCC 4.3.0 complains about INT_MAX not being defined in one of the file. Hi mathieudel. I had the same problem last night when building Basilisk II. Which file did you add the include statement in? Thanks! Edit: Ah, the sys_unix.cpp file. :P

I never got permission to include in on the Monster Mac Emulation Pack 2007, but included it with the shareware readme file.

Thanks. I've tried a dozens of times to compile Basilisk II from CVS sources for the Maemo Linux platform (Armel architecture) using Scratchbox, but keep getting a sigsegv error during the make phase. I've spent many hours trying to figure out how to get around it.

The State of Skinning: 2007 Edition
The State of Skinning: 2007 Edition (from OSNews.com) StarDock's Brad Wardell has published his yearly 'State of Skinning' article . He concludes: "So there you have it. 2007 was a bit of a sucky year for skinners. Vista was a pain in the ass to get existing things working on. If you want to c...

Hi t3h! Here are some informal non-real world bench tests using your Build #3. The Complex and Floating Point scores are higher with the FPU. 68030 no FPU http://fkwjcw.bay.livefilestore.com/y1p27A0pF0A3D_NgWLYjkg4acOyxMO5Q8CKZtEoIS3uZC8Qr1mwBDqqaOrTHliwE5eEr4fW16EsxJ8mplrzC1OM7Q/Build3-68030-nofpu....

The Nokia Internet Tablet N800 is like a mini-laptop running Linux. I can't possibly cover\capture all it's coolness. I have watched full length movies on it, played MP3s (via iPhone-type software interfaces with kinetic scrolling), read eBooks (PDF, CHM, DJVU, etc.), surfed the Internet, made phone...

I see you mentioned the thread on the Internet Tablet Talk forum already. I'll need to search for my Admin login info again as CrapCleaner appears to have deleted the cookie. I'd like to setup a webpage about running Basilisk II on the NITs, but the developer who took over the project is working on ...

Basilisk II Port for Nokia Internet Tablets
Hi All. I ported over Basilisk II to run (fast) on Nokia Internet Tablets (N770, N800, N810), then a real developer took over to make it beyond cool (full screen, sticky mouse issue resolved). Many people new to Mac emulation are going nuts over it. (I also ported Mini vMac and PearPC.) :l...

Ewe! Does it give you a pink anime background? :P (Cool!) This reminds me of 1999 when we were trying to get Basilisk II to run Mac OS 8.0 or 8.1 by using the System 7.5.x Finder. Back then Basilisk II could only support up to Mac OS 7.6.1 with a buggy 68030 emulated processor. Doing the F...

Yeah. A few months ago I tried installing every major build of GTK+ development(2.4.x, 2.6.x, 2.8.x, 2.10.x) for Windows from the Glade website and the development files from GIMP for Windows. The GTK+ installer detects Cygwin (and Dev-C++) and says it's going to set things up for use with the compi...

Many thanks Howard! Hopefully I'll have some free time this weekend to try it out.
Tonight I've been messing with fresh CVS sources using Cygwin on Windows. I see GTK+ development files still aren't recognized.
