I want to help with the PearPC development as much as possible, so if someone posts a tutorial on how to compile using CYGwin then I will take the time to read it. Then if people want I can compile the code and even try new patches to see if they work. I think that all the people who can should test...

Re: Problems with Os X aka Panther and Win2k w/ Sp4
Got OS X 10.3 working but I can't seem to get the TAP32-WIN-adapter to work. I't seems as if there is a Windows problem, here's what happens: 1. I install the 2.0 version of the driver (and only the driver, nothing else). 2. I go to network settings to enable the Internet Connection Sharing on my r...

Well, There is nothing on Richard Goodwins site to suggest that it has been added to the builds. But it has only just been release on the original authors site about 5 mins ago. I am sure that Richard will add it into tonights builds, so we may have to wait until later for a complete build. There sh...

CaptainValor, I have just sent an e-mail to the address on Richard Goodwins website for the nightly builds. I have asked if the optimised builds contain the updates for Full Screen and Networking. If they do not, I have asked if this could be arranged. I took the liberty of passing on everyone in th...

CaptainValor - It would appear that there will be a version on the nightly builds site, although it would appear to be a generic verison (not P4 or AMD64 optimised). This may change though, is there any way to get hold of Richard and see if he can run the optimised builds as well? Jackalo - Thanks f...

Also just had another thought - There are currently two builds available with the patch for networking in 1) The nightly builds that have the Full Screen patch and 2) The builds from John's website Which ones are people using and do they work? I am thinking that maybe only one of them works and not ...

I have just spotted this on the authors website: - This does not currently work with WinXP SP2 or the OpenVPN v2.0 listed below. I am working on a new patch. Even though SP2 is not available yet, I thought that I would check my Windows XP version using the winver command from the command prompt and ...

Thanks
Thanks for the update Bob. I have downloaded the latest version, but there appears to be a problem for the label on the Redraw rate value as it disappears behind the slider. Also the main program icon is missing from the application when it was rebuilt. Neither of these are major, but just thought y...

Error - Waiting For Root
With a bit more testing and some use of the -v switch, I can see a bit more into why the system will not boot with the RAM set at more than 128MB. It would appear that setting the memory to higher than 128 knocks out the emulated PCI adapter for the Hard Disk. This screenshot shows what causes the e...

Test Results
OK, I have done some more testing and found that I cannot get it boot with anything other than 128MB of RAM. My computer is running Win XP SP1a and is a P4 3.06GHz with 2GB of DDR 400 Dual Channel memory. Does anyone know why PearPC will not boot with higher than 128MB allocated? I have checked my T...

Changes to Config
I had the same problem with Mac OS X 10.2 and found that I had to do the following: - 1) Follow the instructions in the following forum topic, to change the boot partition from 3 to 2 - http://www.emaculation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1102 2) Set the memory back to 128MB in the config file. Hope thi...

I have just tried two things: - 1) I used the following forum topic to change my partition that had Mac OS X 10.2 on it to position 2 (I followed steps 10-20). http://www.emaculation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1102 2) I lowered the memory to 128MB. I now have a bootable OS X, but am confussed by why ...

Thanks for that, I am running 512MB as well.
I will try to lower it to 128MB tonight and see what happens.

OS X 10.2 Installs without any problems but will not load
I have just installed OS X 10.2 on PPC 0.2pre (nightly build 24/05). I have Win XP SP1a. The installation went without any problems. It completed and then closed down PPC - command prompt window showed reset as cause (I am assuming because the installation normally reboots the Mac). However when I s...

H/T splits the processor
I have a P4 3.06GHz that has H/T enabled and in my Task Manager it shows only 50% CPU usage. This is because when you have H/T enabled it virtually creates two CPUs. So when you view Task Manager, it shows two CPU graphs and a total CPU usage bar. What this means is that when you run PPC it runs in ...

Installing Mac OS X 10.2 Updates
Hi, I have just installed PearPC and Mac OS X 10.2 - it all worked the very first time I tried and this is all thanks to the people on this forum and the creators of PearPC. There is only one thing that is bothering me, and that is how can I update 10.2 to the latest version without a Network connec...
