I was going mental with only being able to run 128mb in PearPC with the 0.2pre and 0.3pre builds. But I just download the 0.2.0 release and it booted with 256mb. No more "still waiting for root device". :D

I ran 0.2pre on a Dual Xeon 3.06 (4gb ram) box I have at work. Runs like a cut cat, but I still can't allocate more than 128mb to Jaguar so it was somewhat hobbled.

Is this problem just a Jaguar one? I've seen lots of screenshots of people running 256, 384 and 512mb systems but they all seem to be running Panther.

I'm running Jaguar and I can't go beyond 128mb too.
