ahh that was the problem! file name was too long! perhaps it would be a nice inclusion to have sheepshaver provide shortening file name support!
The file is a bit choppy, but then again I am burning a dvd at 8x on a 1.8ghz p4 cluttered with spyware :P

Whenever I try to open something in an application(in this case an mp3 file, I tried both cabrio and wmp 7.1) I get this message: The selected item(s) cannot be opened, because it has changed name or location since you chose it. I have no clue what it means at the code level, but I just wanted to le...

I bet it is. If Darwin can run on X86 hardware, then why can't Mac OS? But you should remember that Darwin is the Mac OS X core, and not the classic Mac OS core. We are talking about system 7. But I believe Apple has made an x86 version of OSX and is keeping it in a safe for future use :D . Apple D...

Hello, I guess OS 9.2 will be out of the question, as it requires a MMU, which I thought Gwenole reported not to add to sheepshaver. Cat_7 I was wondering, Can't Gwenole borrow some code from PearPC to emulate the MMU ? well yea, but one of the reasons pearpc is 1/40 the speed of a native mac is be...

1) hardware assisted mmu emulation because this is one of the main bottlenecks in pearpc's performance! 2) hardware accelerated graphics because i love games ;) 3) good sound support because pearpc currently has extremly choppy audio 4) ability to interact with USB devices. It would be helpful if pe...

the main problem with running 9.1 to my understanding is the requirement of an mmu. In previous versions (up to 9.0.4) no mmu was "required". the emulator faked the os into beliving there was an mmu. I believe 9.1 requires an mmu(aka it actually uses it). This is also the reason pearpc is ...
