As for YouTube, I had a PowerMac G3 with a 500MHz G4 upgrade and a Radeon 7000 graphics card and youtube didn't have a very good frame rate. You'd probably see about 3 frames per second. It is much better on my 500MHz PentiumIII where is runs pretty well (but not perfectly). This was in both OS9 and...

On the rare occasion that I have used an emulator during the last three years, I have continued to use HFV Explorer. Never had problems with it. A copy can still be found on the net. That being said, good care should be taken of your tool For reference, it can be found here http://emaculation.com/qu...

Going a bit crazy with the Submit button there Cat? (I see the site has been a little slow/unresponsive today) Thanks for clarifying that. I thought it could but hadn't seen the option in Stuffit Expander. I have come across free archiving software for MacOSX but can't remember the names of an...

Do any of you know how to find the checksum number? That's probably one of my issues. When you load the ROM into the BasiliskII Prefrences programme (I forget what it's called), it should tell you. Alternatively, if you ripped it from a real Mac, the ROM grabber programme on the mac should have tol...

You may be able to buy some new cells for it, or even replace the cells with rechargeable AA or AAA cells. I don't think you will be able to revive the old one. You could try fully charging and discharging it a few times, but that won't necesseraly make it last very long, if at all. You could just k...

You should be able to select the disk to startup from in the Startup Disk prefs. It should matter whether it is slave or master, but it will probably choose the Master drive until you change it in the prefs. You also should be able to hold down the Option/Alt key after switching on and select the bo...

Should be fine with the G3 heatsink. I have run a Sonnet G4 upgrade in a beige g3 with the G3 and I am pretty sure they are designed to use the same heatsink. Not sure about Yikes processors though. I'd try it, but you might be better off getting a G4 heatsink if you can, just to be on the safe side.
