SDL

Yes,

I saw the same messages, even saw some sdl support remarks in the autogen.sh report. On my mandrake 10 installation with sdl support installed I got:

SDL support...: none

Have you got more luck?

config file

SheepShaver uses a config file named .sheepshaver_prefs. It is in your home directory and is hidden. It also creates an .sheepshaver_nvram file in the same directory to keep the non volatile ram. By the way: Are you shure your error is not resultant of not specifying the correct path to the rom file...

Maybe it will have to wait

Till I get to work on monday... There I was thinking this forum would be a nice central archive for my files ;-)
As it turns out people are mailing me directly to get the image.

I'll see if I can pick it up from the mail I sent last week.

altivec patch

Hello,

FYI: As far as I know the altivec patch has only been committed to the generic build. This is not to be found on richard goodwins website as he explains he is not hosting those because they are to slow.

tunnel.kext

Just a wild guess: Seems to me there is something wrong at the OSX side. .kext are OSX kernel extensions. If pear runs, it looks like the compilation went OK. Is your OSX installation OK? Did you try to start without any networking support? Also, check the permissions on /dev/tun0 so it is read-writ...

But I replied to the post from ataxy: "yeah but i just wanted to know if anybody with a nix box had tryed it" because that was what the thread was evolving to. And, so yes, someone did try it. Although I must admit, I didn't patch it, but just downloaded the source (as cvs was down at the ...

yep

I tried it.

It runs nicely, but has some side effects, like sometimes " freezing" the system for a short period. And it is in sort of debug mode, constantly displaying messages in the console.

The clock itself very slowly runs just a liitle bit of....

move third partition on HD to second partition

Hello, Your screendump suggests the third partition of your HD image (nr 14) is the bootable partition. To boot from the HD image you need to move that to the second partition. Follow the directions over here: http://www.emaculation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1102 Then make your second CD the slave C...

You can best use the kext. The official pear site says 1. download the .ISO 2. use downloaded .ISO as CDROM image and start Mac OS X with PearPC 3. copy the Apple3Com3C90x.kext directory from the CD to your disk's /System/Library/Extensions 4. chmod -R a-w Apple3Com3C90x.kext 5. chown -R root:wheel ...
