I beg to differ about finger picking a mandolin. ; )

As for the bamboo flute, yeah. I'd buy a Mid E most likely. The three different quality levels really makes me wonder about them, though. With the way it seems to me, I wouldn't want anything below Professional quality.

It was my understanding that all DMG files were only accessable under the Mac OS, while IMG files were the one that were relatives of the ISO.

I have a mind to erase all the threads about DMG and post a general notice about it.

I wouldn't mind getting a Mandolin some day. Finger picking on a guitar without an amp just doesn't sound as good as it should. Maybe this fall I'll look into getting one. I can't even imagine how much of a chore that it'd be to string that damn thing, let alone tune it. Mmm... http://www.vintageman...

If you want SheepShaver to be optimized for your system, compile it on your own. The compiling guide is located in this SheepShaver forum.

I know the feeling Robojam. I'd like to use Linux, but learning to customize Linux the way I have Windows would take a hell of a long time.

I have a Les Paul 100 (sunburst) with Humbucker pickups, and a Sammick Fender (red). Since Robojam included other instruments, I might as well. Nickel Flute, Silver Flute, Piccalo Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Trumpet, Coronet, Alto Saxophone, Trombone, Keyboard (piano), Acoustic Guitar, Acoustic Bass, and...

Microsoft is in quite the position to dictate standards, I must say. I don't know why they wouldn't want to follow the W3C Standards, but at least they've matched Traditional HTML.

I hate OpenGL. DirectX rendering looks so much better.

OpenGL just looks blocky to me. Especially in CounterStrike.

I've played Marathon Infinity on BasiliskII for a good number of years, now. Works like a charm. You'll need a 68K ROM Image to use BasiliskII, so technically it's not 100% free. You can usually get a 68K Mac on eBay fairly cheap, then rip the ROM image to use on your PC. Plenty of guides laying aro...

/me sighs Any and all of these ideas are being discussed on the pearpc-devel list. DirectX has been mentioned multiple times. The next time I see someone say "Why can't PearPC just use DirectX", I'm going to fucking ban them. The idea behind PearPC was not to be a purely Windows version, b...

Mac OS 8 includes both PPC and 68K code, so it can run on either 68k Macs or PPC Macs.

Make sure you have a valid 68k ROM image for use with BasiliskII.

Most of the keyboard is broken with the SDL builds for me, so don't worry. I have to use the Character Map (whatever it's called under OS X) to 'type' things.

Going back to the CVS pre0.3 build solved this problem, though, and the difference in performance is negligable for me.

I just tried going back to the CVS builds instead of SDL. It feels so strange.

Eh, oh well, back to SDL builds I go.
