I'm using the video.x that came with the first SDL version.

Odd indeed. Check AIM. =p

Edit: As for the Display Preferences crash, I noticed that too. Resolution switching seems to be broken.

It was an issue with the new mouse grab code layered with the SDL builds.

Hopefully it shouldn't be a problem with the new pre0.3 SDL build that is 'released'.

Hm... According to the CVS tree, the only difference is that line 22 in /src/info.h was updated to show "0.3pre" instead of "0.2pre".

Cat_7, perhaps you did not read what I had typed.

"I'm subscribed to the developers list, and from what I can see the timing patch for Win32 is just a rough draft, and even though it compiles, PearPC does not function with it."

Amazing application.

I do wish that we could type in a redraw interval into a text box and have the slider update itself accordingly. =)

Hm... Are you using a build that includes the RealTek support? Make sure that the following lines are set and not commented out

pci_rtl8139_installed = 1
pci_rtl8139_mac = "de:ad:ca:fe:12:35"

Apparently there are a lot of possibilities for the DNS settings inside of OS X. So far we have 1) The IP for the TAP32 connection (usually 192.168.0.1) 2) The IP for the LAN port on your router (usually 192.168.1.1) 3) The IP for the DNS servers your ISP provided Hm... That was a big ball of thunde...

Ancient Imhotep, my network is in the 192.168.x.x range, but it should be fairly simple to adapt the guide for the 10.x.x.x range. My best idea would be to set the TAP32 IP address to 10.0.254.1 / 255.255.255.0 (I'm betting it's unused), and then configure the IP inside of OS X for 10.0.254.200 / 25...

I'm using the nightly build from Richard Goodwin's site.

Ancient Imhotep, I have the exact same build string as you for Windows, and I got it to work using the TAP32 1.6 installer.

Mmm... Just got it working.

I followed the instructions to the letter, but I set the DNS to my router's LAN address. It doesn't seem to take my DNS IP's directly.

Actually, quite the contrary, the Intel HSF that comes with it's processors are just about the best HSF that money can buy. You can put a 3.4GHz Northwood to 4GHz on standard fan cooling with it. You really should read ProCooling and HardOCP more.

No, because the Athlon64 is a pile of crap. If you want a real 64bit processor, buy an Intel Itanium.

If you want a speedy processor, buy a Pentium 4 Northwood 3.4GHz and overclock it to 4GHz on standard fan cooling.

I'm sorry that the guide I posted is so incomplete. This week has been hell for me because of Finals and all the homework I didn't do when I should've.

I promise I'll set some time aside this weekend and rewrite the guide, as well as an FAQ.

I'm trying to figure out PearPC won't let me install to the 6GB image. I've got 10.3 to the install screen, used Disk Utility to partition and format, but for some reason, I can't select the drive to install to.

Blah.

Hm... Partition 9 (Macintosh HD/Apple_HFS) on the CD-ROM should've been bootable... I guess this goes to show how much PearPC hates anything below OS X (I now know that 10.2 works with it from Neowin).

Sorry mate. =\
