Emulating CD Drive for images?

... thinking that it's seeing a real CD ROM drive? I'm using Sheepshaver 2.4 (latest) with the "New World" ROM, and Mac OS 9. My host OS is Yosemite (otherwise I'd just stick the CD in my Macbook's drive and be happy as a clam).

Thank you.

Very nice, and a great improvement, my friend. After all, this is 2015 and Yosemite, and not 1993 and Mac OS 7. :)

Now watch Old Schoolers grumble and groan and resist change.

A Icon for SheepShaver

I suppose the OSX Finder needs to "see" the file being added. Yosemite Finder seems slow in recognizing new files when they are added "out of sight". Did you try leaving the FAS enabled folder open in an OSX Finder window?

Strange. Although a 6.8 MacOS installation is unusual (or was it 8.6?), if a startup MacOS volume works in any SheepShaver anywhere, it should work in any other SheepShaver anywhere else, also in Yosemite. Don't know what the problem is in your case.
