How about: A minimal linux distribution that will install on an NTFS or FAT/FAT32 partition Contains development packages to compile the latest version (and optimise the programme for your computer) Internet access X-Windows with a VERY simple windows manager. I bet something like that would be good...

It says on pearpc.net that it requires about a 2ghz processor and 512mb or RAM for decent performance.

Makes me wonder how well it will run on my 500mhz pentiumIII with only 64mb RAM.

I quite like CaptainValor's subforum ideas. Maybe we could use those and also add a couple of Guest's ideas aswell.

If it ran in MS-DOS and only MS-DOS (no MSWindows) would it be alot faster?

kaleidascope is a programme for MacOS7, 8 and 9 that allows you to make macos7/8/9 look like macosx or whatever else you want it to look like.
