Sheepshaver and El Capitan ...

... important apps were not working anymore. Sheepshaver was one of them. I didn't have much time to figure out the workarounds, so I reverted back to Yosemite. Reading the only thread on El Capitan, I figured that it was speaking about many things other than El Capitan ... and that were mostly chinese ...

Being as SheepShaver can only run in 32-bit mode -- at least that has been the case with both Yosemite and El Capitan -- should I choose 32-bit mode for the Snow Leopard 10.6.3 installation, or 64-bit mode? Will the Snow Leopard installer recognize ...

As I said earlier, getting networking to work properly between OS 9.0.4 and OS X -- Yosemite at the time, as I recall -- was a major headache, and took me weeks to figure out. I'm running SheepShaver_UB_20140201 under MacOSX Yosemite. There is no choice but to run this version in 32bit mode (it will not run under Yosemite in 64bit mode). Still experiencing this very annoying blue screen colour switch following the hiding ...

Well, seeing you had so much trouble compiling qemu on your Mac, I tried myself on Yosemite 10.10.4 and had no issue to do so. You are right some informations are either missing or wrong in OBrien's page. But since you talk about your experience with dependency hells, ...

Re: Basilisk with Appletalk support; ML and upwards

I can report success with BasiliskII emulating a Mac Iici (OS 7.5.5) on a MacBook Pro running Yosemite having two way AppleTalk file transfers with a physical Mac Plus (OS 7.5.5). Great stuff - Thanks!

Re: Basilisk Hangs on Checkered Screen

By the look of the title bar, you are running BasiliskII on Yosemite.

- Which BasiliskII build do you use?
- Which ROM file do you use?
- Is the DiskTools_MacOS8.image file in place and added to the volumes list?
- Did you set Mac Model ID and CPU Type as instructed (Quadra 900 and 68040)?
