Interesting to see the browser stats. Here, I am still using Opera on Windows. But I have Classilla on my Lombard and am really liking it. As this is a Mac site you may have missed it, but there was an interesting blog post on the PC Pro website about their site's browser statistics. He was asking w...

vMac for MacOS

A few weeks back, I downloaded a couple of old MacOS versions of vMac, which I ran on my PowerBook 1400, using a System 7 and a System 1 ish boot disk. I'll have to get the powerbook out and do a bit more fiddling. Or perhaps, try it on Lombard which I got recently. Does anyone else here use the Mac...

That looks pretty good. Better than what the iPhone currently looks like, but I have never used one so I'm only going on a couple of pictures that I have seen.

Why would they close it if it is so well used?

I have been on a few geocities websites recently, just by finding them via google, so it is a shame that they are closing.

I thought Executor still had a place on my desktop, but I looked now and it wasn't there. Maybe I removed it as it was there a few months back.

Although I never use Executor now, it does still get started occaisionally. I will have a look at these recent updates when I have finished my dinner.

Questions about the site could go in a page such as 'about the site'. I'm not sure if we have one already. Questions such as Where do I get a ROM/macOS are quite relavent, but I don't know how easy they are to obtain now. I got mine using methods that are not quite as legal as they could be back aro...

Assuming we are on about Macintosh System 7, I voted for that because I have used it alot and like it.

Windows 7, well, I don't even know what it does.

I have been to the Netherlands a few times and have found that they speak very good English. But I think that is true of most Europeans, as I think most countries teach English as a foreign language from an early age, whereas here in England, we don't tend to do foreign languages until at least age ...

I used the MacOSX Aqua theme in System 7 on BII. I will still have the disk image somewhere. I drew the screen onto a piece of paper in pencil a few years. I will have to dig out the book and scan it in.

I downloaded EmMac about 4 or 5 years ago and had no look. I don't think I even got it to load up, but that was partly down to lack of English documentation. Maybe I will try again sometime.

KidPix

I just noticed the post on the front page about the KidPix clone.

Has anyone here used KidPix? I remember using it on the Macs at Infant school. I used to enjoy blowing the page up to clear it (Can't remember what that function was called).

Someone revived the old screenshot thread! :). I was only reading through this the other week to find that most of the pictures were broken.

For some reason everyone seems to be able to make their <MacOS7s looks really cool. I guess I never bothered since I quite like the default style.

Using the same disk image accross all emulators

Hi. I want to do some benchmarks of BasiliskII and SoftMac (and I might stick Fusion PC in there as well), but I was wondering, can I install MacOS on BasiliskII and then use the same disk image in SoftMac as well, or would it be fairer to install MacOS in BasiliskII and then to reinstall in SoftMac...

Have you tried IrfanView? I use it all the time for screenshots as well as an image viewer and for scanning stuff.

If I needed to add something like text to a screenshot, I tend to use windows paint.

I think the pill appears at the bottom because of the code for the sidebar. The menu code is obviously copied from the homepage and the version of the pill is the one with the little bit attached to the bottom which provides the space for a date, and is thus used on the homepage. Maybe if we made us...
