Wyatt Wrenn would use HTML to turn his post red, and would not use any periods or commas. Don't mind me. Your use of "Hi y'all!" and "Thanks in advance folks!" reminded me of Wyatt Wrenn. I look forward to any tutorial on bypassing Windows/booting up into Basilisk II as we...

Yup. If you are not registered, the 1.0.1 version is prety much unplayable. I haven't had the feds attack me. Are you using any of the "cheap" ship add-ons, like the cheap carbon fiber or the cheap scanners? They don't like that. Oh my god. The 1.0.1 is even more fucked up. First off, to u...

The 1.0.1 patch. What patch? What problems did you run into with it being shareware? I only had to restart once because I got stuck as a Vall-os (or something) and couldn't get new ships or weapons. I'm trying to get 1 million credits so I can buy that god damned fission (or is it fusion?) generator...

Goddam. I gotta say.. get the registration. They have really crippled the shareware.

I am kinda pissed at Ambrosia. I gotta restart.

GET THE PATCH NOW.

And everyone on the Ambrosia board is an ass.

God I hate Mac users.

After you do the first couple of UN missions you will get hired on. And you can also get hired by SIGMA SHIPYARDS, too. YOu get most of those around Earth, but you have to build up a bit of a "combat rating" before they start giving them to you. I've had the jobs with UN, but now I can't r...

You have to do the specialty missions. You can get upwards of 50,000 per mission doing those. And once you get a steady job with UN shipping, you will almost always have $40,000 missions acessable from your "Mission BBS" screen. Even getting a specialty job as a bounty hunter is good... 25...

Re: This might help...

But it happens in Basilisk II regardless of what you have the emulated Mac set to. Maybe if I were to set my Windows screen to thousands of colors... hmmmm.... hmmm..... >Every time I try to run it I get "Sorry, an error occurred while opening >the monitor tool." Actually, that happens on ...

Replace your Basilisk II executable with this file:

http://gamma.nic.fi/~lpesonen/BasiliskI ... _patch.zip

That will fix it.

Okay. Okay. I got it installed. I got it via FTP. Has Internet Explorer been corrupting SIT files all along without me knowing? Or did I just forget that it has been doing that?

Bugs me. I used the same prefs file (along with the same other stuff) and got a different result.

Hit the "screen" tab and try WINDOWS GDI type instead of Linear Frame Buffer.

I tried it with the same ROM, the same disk and an almost identical system and got about 83 frames per second.

Keep trying?
