Re: Mini vMac for NON-Jailbroken iOS
Since my latest message I have a double-height Mac Plus running which is fine for now. I should be able to turn the two Plus instances into Classics with more time. So, my question: "how do I get any external file into Mini vMac iOS?" For the vMac.ROM and DISK1.dsk you copy them into the a...

Re: Mini vMac for NON-Jailbroken iOS
I've installed this and it works very well. Thanks! Next I plan to add a Mac Classic variation with larger screen resolution. I tried last night but couldn't manage it. I'll try again. I wonder if it's with bundling variations for all supported systems? There aren't that many. My only question is of...

Re: Aliases created in Mini vMac do not work elsewhere?
I sent Paul some feedback earlier today, let's see what he says.
What you suggest would be best, as I'm still stuck for a solution for those aliases on real hardware.
If you can influence him, feel free!

Re: Aliases created in Mini vMac do not work elsewhere?
@adespoton you are almost there! Earlier I used ResEdit to find the difference between two Aliases, one created on vMac and one not. Witness: https://i.imgur.com/emcLzGK.png If I change the 05 to 00 in the alias created on vMac, it will open on real hardware (and in Basilisk II) This byte represents...

Sure, I'm asking to be able to drag a disk from Finder onto the Basilisk II GUI window to add it. Rather than click the Add button and find the file using the file selector.

Aliases created in Mini vMac do not work elsewhere?
When I create an alias in Mini vMac, move that alias to my real Macintosh Classic (or in Basilisk II), and then double click it I get an error "Please insert the disk: Macintosh HD". Is this because the internal disk in Mini vMac is presented as a floppy, and the internal disk in my real M...

Hopefully this is the best place to pots this request:
Is it possible to have some of the more recent features added to the GUI?
- integer/nearest scaling
- ability to use negative amounts for mouse scroll
Thanks!

This allows you to achieve the reverse Y direction.

Re: Mouse: Reverse Y direction?
Oh, ha! That is an old manual.
I did find an old Basilisk to get the preference name and confirmed that it does not work in the latest. That's a shame, because I use the reversed scroll direction in macOS.
I use Basilisk for macOS mainly, but also for Windows.

Getting Unix volume to mount on System 7.1?
If I boot System 7.5 I can see the Unix folder mounted.
But if I boot System 7.1 then Unix doesn't mount.
Am I out of luck? Or am I missing something?

Mouse: Reverse Y direction?
In this manual https://www.emaculation.com/b2manual/Ba ... Manual.pdf
it mentions Reverse Y direction for mouse?
But I can't find that in the latest BasiliskII versions.
Any help appreciated.

I don't know if you've solved it by now, but the solution to Universal builds on M1 is here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/673323
Super interesting project! I need to catch up on the dev blog. Keep up the good work!

Yes, I did. As far as I could tell there was no real difference though. The installation logs claim that the fonts are there and they appear in the system folder, so were properly installed to the disk I told it to install to as far as I could tell, but don't appear in the fonts section of the appe...

Thanks!
Despite them being "empty" inside, they install fine.
System 7 - partially usable (not tried adding Japanese support as yet)
OS 9 - with Japanese support - fully usable!
Cheers

Disk mount error and empty font suitcases?
Can anybody help me access the fonts on this disk?
http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/scroll- ... bw-clipart
I'm running 7.6.1 under Basilisk II and when I mount the discs there is an error -43 and the font suitcases seem to be empty?
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Thanks! I followed your directions.
I get language input menu and can see Japanese in Text control panel.
Filenames and menu/app text are displayed differently, but still not as required.
I extracted the sit again just in case. No change.

What is the easiest way of being able to display Japanese text in OS 9? Is there a Japanese Sheep Saver image? Or is it built in?
