Good decision. But G3 PowerBooks normally max out at 500 MHz (maybe there are upgrade kits, though).

cheers

hhhm, what is the purpose of letting Zone Alarm filter the TAP NIC in the first place? I would just set it to ignore it.

Doc, the problem is that PearPC doesn't recognize your ISO image as bootable. When you hit "1" PPC tries to boot from your empty 3 GB file - which fails... Although I think that Alcohol 120% is very good at making raw ISO images, you should try Nero ("Save track as..."). Sorry, ...

I'm pretty sure Classic will not work until PearPC is changed to officially support it. And the "booting", as it is at the moment, is stopping after a few seconds.

No reason at all to state something like "Classic runs fine"

That said, cpu power is definatly not the #1 argument when buying a laptop. There is still weight, battery life, size, wireless connectivity...

Activate the NIC in the config ONLY if you have properly configured the TAP32 driver on windows.

BTW. I recommend you to read a bit in the FAQ and the other forums and only post a request when you dont find the answer there.

No, its not solved, do u think it could be the .iso image? Are we talking about the images on pearpc.sf.net? Anyway, I know your error message. i once had it when I created a HD image on my own and forgot to set a multiple of 516.xxx. BTW. Why are you having this prob with a ISO?? ISOs are CDROMs (...

Actually, you can use whatever NIC you want on the PC. PearPC has is own 'virtual' network card (currently 3Com or Realtek). Just enable the correspondent option in your config file (on 10.3, the Realtek device should be used). In order to hand OSX's network traffic over to your windows computer you...

Only certain image file sizes are acceted by PPC. Best would be to just download a prepared blank image from pearpc.sf.net

Hi!

Win32 should now have a fullscreen mode. You can toggle with
Ctrl-LeftAlt-Enter (currently hardcoded). Expect bugs.

That is very unusual. Seems that your 10.3 installation is somewhat messed up... The last idea I have is repairing your file permissions before updating. This can be done from Disk Utility.

while (perl_script == true) { MacOS_X_warezDownloads++; } I own my Mac OS X Install CDs. I'm sorry that I brought up the beta DMG issue, but I thougt it could be of technical relevance. The 'unbootable' betas were something that was broadly discussed a year ago. They were even unbootable when burnt...
