just wondering, what is the interest of new releases of Basilisk? I mean, I just tried 1.0, and considering turning back to 0.9, cuz SDL is slow, and 0.9 was doing anything I could expect from a 68K, what's lackin, seriously?

No FPU?

I tried installing PowerFPU, and from what it told me, it seems that SheepShaver doesn't emulate a FPU. if so, why not?

Problems getting SheepShaver to work in RedHat and others..

I've, but I'll only tried running SheepShaver in many distros, recently in Ubuntu and Red Hat, but i'll only focus on my problems in Red Hat 9.0. First, when trying to launch the compiled RPM, it tells me that libreadline.so.4 is needed. so I looked for readline-4.3-5.i386.rpm, and when i launched i...

if i remeber good, SheepShaver will only work with NewWorld ROM's, thus not letting you use anything below 8.5 (correct me if im wrong). If you want to use 8, use Basilisk II (but you wont be able to use PowerPC apps tho)

There's a guy wrote an howto guide for installing OS X, Windows and Linux on a PC, and Apple made him take it down. Some websites relayed it, but I saved it from Google's cache, http://www.geocities.com/michel0528/mul ... .htm?20056, just in case anyone finds it usefull.

as far as i know it's an hoax. nobody real seems to have found any valid leaked version, and unless you made sure urself it was some real thing, i'll keep thinkin it's an hoax. seems like it's likely that Apple has put some kinda different code in each DVD so they can know who would leak it...

Let us face it, Appple now switch to only software company this will stop hardware within few next years I think you're totally wrong. I'll get it to this thread to prove that it is a STANDARD x86 motherboard/system to me it sounds obvious, even if the CPU is a x86, the motherboard will be an Apple...

I know we're not supposed to talk about P2P, but it appears that x86 versions of 10.4 have been leaked and are available on P2P networks.

just wondering, would anyone know what to do with a x86 version of Mac OS X?

What do you use PearPC for?

I'm asking this because, well i'm using PearPC, but not that much, because I haven't found any real use to it. I mean, it's so slow and all that, I can't even get to do networking with it, the only use that I found to it was to admire the niceness of Mac OS X...

i'm not sure, but i think the reason why there is no sound is that there is no sound in the ROM we are using, but I may be wrong (always thought startup sound was inside the ROM)
