Strange. Apart from the way the cursor is computed and drawn, there should not be any difference between the two builds. Try playing with different settings for SheepShaver, like with or without JIT compiler enabled, or with or without QuickDraw acceleration enabled. (Note that changed settings do n...

It should work. Of course you need to stop and relaunch BasiliskII after changing settings, because BasiliskII reads the configuration file only when launched. Have you tried connecting with a web browser in MacOS 7.6 to activate Open Transport? Only then will IP address etc. be asked from the DHCP ...

Which build of SheepShaver do you use? I use an application (TeleFinder) that could not make internet connections in the May 2006 snapshot by Gwenole Beauchesne, but that works fine in my latest July 2008 build (see sticky topic in this forum). (Note that the version number does not identify the bui...

In BasiliskII settings set Ethernet Interface to "slirp".

In MacOS 7.6 TCP/IP control panel set connection through Ethernet and DHCP server.

By default dmg images are in HFS+ format which can only be mounted in MacOS 8.1 and later. If you run 8.1 in BasiliskII, the images can probably be mounted by adding them to the volumes list. If you run an earlier system version, you can only use disk images that are HFS formatted. It is possible to...

The only way to have access from within SheepShaver to a folder on the OSX side is to make that folder the shared folder or a subfolder in the shared folder. You could place the folder itself inside the shared folder and create an alias where you want to access the folder in the OSX Finder. Best use...

@ henber This is weird. Did the message not appear with the older SheepShaver version? If you only replaced the SheepShaver application and continued with the same disk image(s) and the same ROM, the system should not behave differently. But sheepshaver says that it cannot find the ColorpickerLib......

Do you use an older build of SheepShaver, like the May 2006 snapshot by Gwenole Beauchesne? Those older builds have many problems with the shared folder, like files becoming invisible, files loosing icons and more. In the latest july 21 2008 build, those problems are solved and the shared folder ('U...

Better do not try a memory setting higher than 512 MB. SheepShaver will not launch and if you use the latest build with built-in preferences editor, you will then need the stand-alone Prefs Editor to access the settings. SheepShaver for MacOSX should run fine with memory settings of 512 MB and below...

I'm assuming it's a problem with the game, not SheepShaver. Although the game mentions it works on 9.0, and specifically says it won't work on 9.1, is it possible that it also doesn't work on 9.0.4? If an application runs in 9.0 on a real hardware Mac, that does not imply that it will run also in 9...

Updating the hard disk drivers does not take hours, it usually does not even take seconds. It seems there is a problem with the volume (the disk image) used to install the system onto.

How did you create that disk image?

These errors affect a minority of Leopard users and are still not understood. So far, applying the latest Combo updater has been the solution for most, though not all, cases of the "File Exists" variant. These errors affect a minority of Leopard users and are still not understood.

Re: Adding apps?

This may be a dumb question but how do you add programs to Basilisk II. I am trying to add a game and not sure where to put the folder so that it appears on the Basilisk desktop. Well, a folder will appear on the desktop if you place it on the desktop. Exactly how are you trying to add the program?...
