Jaguar seems to be running faster in PearPC than on my iBook 300. The iBook takes at least 10mins to boot.

Running Win XP on P4 2.4 (o/c to 3.2 Ghz) using May 24th build. Panther boots in 1:50 w redraw interval set at 34 ... this is about 35% faster than 0.1.2. Yeah, it's kind of a bitch on windows because the most reliable way would be to use Cygwin or something similar, but it's really easy to compile it on a linux installation. I have a related question: Should the Darwin 7.0 CD I created with Nero 6.3 (in Win XP) from the ISO that's at www.apple.com/darwin be bootable on my iBook? The system doesn't recognize it.

How long should I wait for the second CD to do anything? ...the PearPC boot loader says that it's bootable but then it just hangs on the Apple logo screen forever (waited more than 45mins).

Is there any disadvantage to compiling the source under Cygwin in Windows? ...the exe is considerably bigger than the pre-compiled binaries.
