Problem with printing via Folder action script ...
... is when printing from OS 9 to OS X via the Folder Action script trick. I don't know what's the culprit. The only cause I can suspect is the recent Yosemite upgrade, but even that is not a real contender, since with Yosemite installed, I was able to print without any problem for, at least, 2 weeks. ...

Re: can't run sheepshaver full screen
... Don't know why. There must be other adjustments to SheepShaver in COI that I am unaware of. I've been able to run Chubby Bunny with no problems in Yosemite (10.10.2) on an eight core Mac Pro in fullscreen at 1920x1080 using this method of editing hih1 file found inside the app executable. Had to ...

Re: Extension Translation
Make sure that you format the USB stick HFS+ (Mac OS Extended) first. They usually come FAT formatted and a classic Mac file will not survive intact when transferred from Yosemite to 9.2.2 on a FAT formatted volume.roberlanmac wrote: and then copy the folder with a USB stick to the imac

Re: Where to start
Looking back from Yosemite, do Tiger and Leopard look old enough maybe?
Both do run nice in a (x86) virtual machine and are quite easy to set up.
There is no Classic emulation with the X86 build for Tiger, but PPC apps do work up to 10.6 (with Rosetta).
Maybe a practicable starting point?

Care with automatic system cleaners
Probably stating the obvious but be careful if you use an automatic system cleaner such as MacKeeper. I couldn't get SheepShaver to run in Yosemite but as it turns out MacKeeper was stripping the PPC code (Duh). Turning off the binary cutter prevents this. If the code gets stripped then reinstalling ...

Tried Starship Titanic here in SheepShaver with MacOS 9.0.4 on OSX 10.10.1 Yosemite, and it works without stuttering. (Starship Titanic is a PPC game, it will not run in BasiliskII.) 1. Mounted the first three CD.toast images by adding the files to the volumes ...

Re: HFS Disk Maker: Tool for creating HFS disk images
The app runs in OSX. It did run fine here in OSX 10.9.x (Mavericks) and still does in 10.10.1 (Yosemite). It creates HFS volumes that can be used with emulators that run MacOS versions (8.0 and earlier) that cannot use HFS+ volumes.

Re: SheepShaver issues with OSX Yosemite Beta
Hi, If you want to use Xcode, a universal SheepShaver for OSX can only be compiled on Snow Leopard with Xcode up to 3.2.6. It depends on the 10.4 universal (gcc 4.0) development environment. You also need the SDL 1.2 development libs. Please see our compiling guide here: http://www.emaculation.com/d...

Re: SheepShaver issues with OSX Yosemite Beta
As for using MacsBug, I believe there's one build of BII that will do it with a specific System 7 version, but otherwise it doesn't work. "mon" is a much better method (and hey, you could even include support for it in jdb!)

Re: SheepShaver issues with OSX Yosemite Beta
Hi,
FWIW: In the source, a debugger called "mon" is included. It was used to debug basilisk/sheepshaver.
It is activated with "with-mon" during configure.
Source is at github: https://github.com/cebix/macemu
Best,
Cat_7
