Hi, This must be the most frequently asked question in this forum right now. Your problem lies in the nature of the mac os cd you are using. It is meant for a specific mac model. If you use an universal install disk for 8.5, 8.6 or 9.0.4 your problem will be solved. There is also a (quite elab...

Hi,
To my knowledge there is no sheepshaver build with scsi support. Only the said basiliskII versions.
You could try Nigel Pearsons BasiliskII version for OSX.
http://www.users.bigpond.com/pear_computers/
Or maybe mail him about info.
Best wishes

Hi, AFIAK SCSI HD/CD's were supported in the earlier (pre JIT) versions of Basilisk II. The developer has deceided to not (yet?) port the code to the newer versions of Basilisk or SheepShaver. If you search for build 142 of BasiliskII you will find SCSI support in there. You need the Windows ASPI dr...

Hi, Please paste the content of the boot screen here, where it says which partitions you have to boot from (select 0 first to show all) The MACOSX iso you are using to start from might be corrupt. PearPC can't find the boot blocks in the usual place in the image. Try ripping it again from the instal...

Hi, I have never seen this before (but then again, that might mean nothing...) Is it a regular OSX error window, or does this show up in terminal? You might want to try to start SheepShaver from within the application package so it runs in Terminal. It might give some more debug info then. The GUI w...

Hi, It seems your version of PearPC doesn't have support for second IDE controller. You can do two things: -Find a version with support for the second IDE controller, or -Disable the lines defining it from the config file. You could first try to manually disable the lines like this: #pci_ide1_master...

Hi, If SheepShaver starts at all, the rom file is OK. Your problem is related to the CD you are using. It is not a Universal OS 9 disk, but a disk for a specific Mac model. There is a way to edit the cd rom after you made an image from it. You can read up on it here: http://www.emaculation.com/phpBB...

Hi,
If you download the BasiliskII zip file from:
http://www.gibix.net
the zip file contains a folder "ethernet drivers" with the drivers in it.
For XP, use the W2000 driver.
Best wishes,

Hi, I believe the error is in SheepShaver when using ethernet. The latest build exhibits the same behaviour on my machine, using any kind connection to a network. There is nothing you can do to get it working right now, except waiting for the developer to come back from vacation...;-) Best wishes Ca...
