The Open Library microfilm scanner continues to scan, and they've just uploaded a bunch of "Byte" issues from 1983 through 1986. Probably some interesting Macintosh stuff in there.

I don't know if the Mac OS X version is based on Executor 2000, but it seems to be pretty recent. I'll link to it in the wiki. Let me know if it runs okay on your end.

Nothing really comes to mind. I would just suggest deleting everything but the ROM and disk images you are using. Try downloading (the most recent version) and just setting it up from scratch. That should only take a couple minutes. If something is wrong in the prefs file that will take care of it. ...
