8O I'm suprised that most people have voted for PearPC. I thought most people would have voted for sheepshaver, as sheepshaver is usable, however, pearpc is good because it runs macosx

If I could vote for two emulators, then I would vote for PearPC and SheepShaver, they are both good.
I will have to install and use them both first to be able to vote.

I have only ran Windows98se as host, running macos8.1 on basiliskII, which is running softwindows.

Thats all I have managed to do, but i might have a go at running several emulators all at once.

you might be able to copy all the files from the rpm, try that and say what it does.
If you are using x86 linux, then maconlinux won't work. It runs on PPC linux only.

That probably wouldn't be very useful, as pearpc is slow, so you wouldn't be wanting to install Hard Drive Hungry Programmes.

I'd stick with the 3gb or the 6gb for now.

there is maconlinux, that runs macos7-x and ppc linux on top of linux, that could be ported to macosx

is there any kind of chance it will screw up windows or my harddrive by trying it? Thanks! It shouldn't do. It is just a normal programme like Microsoft Office and internet explorer are. However it may make your computer run really slow, but that is just when pearpc is running. hope that helps step...

i am not sure if i am getting what you are saying but colinux runs inside windows not on a ppc machine I think he meant that you con not run linux inside sheepshaver. however, i can't see any reason why sheepshaver wouldn't run on coLinux. it should work fine, just make sure that it is NOT mounted in linux and that you setup sheepshaver correctly.
