Hi, Can you explain a bit about your setup? What version of pearpc do you use? Do you have a configuration utility? Are you using an iso image for mac osx 4 cd? Can you post your config file here? Where did you get your empty hard disk image..... Many questions, I know, but please try to give us a g...

Hi, On the intel mac, only the rom image from the mac os update 1.0 works. And No, you can't run 9.1 on any of those rom files you referred to. 9.0.4 is the latest version you can run due to the fact that it doesn't require a memory management unit present. (which in sheepshaver' case means emulated...

Hi, Have you got any indication that the connection between the mac and the router is made correctly? Can you connect to the routers interface from the mac? If not, are there some lights at the router and the mac that show there is a low level connection? This would be the first thing to check, as i...

Hi, Yes, that is a known error. Although I thought it was resolved in the sheepshaver build you refer to. Are sure that friend used the build from this thread? The solution (well, workaround) is to use a second .dmg file for transfers. Some information on the error is here: http://gwenole.beauchesne...

Hi,

I guess this is on your G3? How do you connect to the ADSL router? Have you got a NIC in that machine?

What windows system are you running? And what gtk runtime did you install?

Hi,

I have two ideas:
You could to make an image of the cd and either use that as hard disk entry in the volumes list or copy it to sheepshaver and run from there.

Good luck,

For Simple Text, saving and reopening the file does the trick. You could then paste into WP. I don't know about pasting in WP directly. It might have something to do with the way PDF's handle end of line? But maybe more likely with the different way intel and powerpc handle bytes. (as the colours do...

Hi,

You have run into one of the mayor limitations of SheepShaver. It does not run Office. (the only exception is the Windows version in Windows Vista)

There is nothing you can do.

You might want to try: Make images of the cd's in windows and use deamon tools to mount the image the moment the game needs them. Your cdrom entry in the sheepshaver prefs should then of course point to the deamon virtual cd drive. If this doesn't work because of the mac cd format, maybe the macdriv...

Yes,

Cd support can be a bit troublesome. Best thing to do is to start sheepshaver with the disk already in settled in windows. Changing cd's while in Mac OS can lead to those errors more easily.

Hi, What you can do is to create two new hard disk files. -a small one just to hold the installer images, like 50 MB -a larger one that will be you hard disk later, so like 500 MB You can use the preferences editor to do that but make sure the system 7 boot disk is still to topmost entry in the volu...

I guess you have to check your SCSI settings in the GUI. If you disable any SCSI-related settings and your error should be resolved.

Ah, And there I was, thinking from your first post you had the old basilisk already running with some OS. If you have, you can just use the hard disk image you already have. If not: Best floppy image I have is found here: http://os-emulation.net/basiliskII/system753_tutorial/downloads/System70_boot....

Hi,

On the first page in the GUI (Volumes) you can enable the My Computer icon, and set which drives to show.

The "Start" button (always visible) should then start your BasiliskII.exe

Hi, Do you mean to make SheepShaver faster? If so, that is not possible by raising the clock speed. It is just a value set in the SheepShaver code. Mac OS needs to get information from the (emulated) hardware, and this is what SheepShaver shows it. Your Mac OS on SheepShaver runs as fast as your com...

If you downloaded the package, there is a cdenable.sys driver included. Just copy it to the folder I mentioned before. The link for sdl.dll is at the developers website. If you also want to use the new GUI, you need to install a GTK runtime, a link to it is also there. (version 2.6 would be OK.) Goo...

If you set up the floppy drive letter in the list of drives to be accessed in the external file system, it should show up in My Computer, or Unix drive.

Hi, Your current setup should also allow CD and floppy access. Did you put the cd-rom driver in the windows/system32/drivers folder? For floppy access, you have to enable the external file system in the GUI and enter a drive letter (assuming A) in the drives box, in the same way you gain access to t...
