System 6 if you do not have software that requires System 7.x. A rule of thumb is that the lower the version number the faster and less bloated the operating system (i.e. next to System 7.1, System 7.0.1 is faster). All pre-7 version are going to be much faster regardless though, since they were pro...

Even so though, I don't think the "Apple Police" will break down your door. I've seen footage of a Hackintosh brought into an Apple Store, and the only thing that happened was the store manager saying "We don't support a hack". In other words, you should be OK.

I guess Ubuntu's Archive manager can open stuffit archives. It recognizes the .sit extension.
HQX too?

I would recommend using the older Aladdin Expander 5.x if using WINE for the best compatibility.

Well that sucks! I've only got one PPC in my house. The only problem is, is that it cannot run Mac OS X, and is made in 1995.(Power Macintosh 7100/80)
QEMU does do PowerPC emulation. If you ran a lite PowerPC-compatible GNU+Linux distro you might be able to run MoL decently.

In the TCP and AppleTalk settings of OS 7.6.1 there are references to connection via a printer port (parallel).
The unsuccessful "Macintosh Office" product was said to have used printer ports for networking.

Any OS X prior to 10.1 will not work with PearPC, including any betas that predate that version. Any betas afterwards should work.

It's worth a shot. You may just get lucky. I would recommend trying Lan Manger first though (or other DOS networking package).

Well, if you are going to use QEMU, then you be better off trying Mac-On-Linux in a low usage PowerPC GNU+Linux port.

It's unlikely that it will be supported by a modern GNU+Linux system or any UNIX for that matter. It requires a SPARC processor and the binary was designed for Solaris. If we had the source code there may have been a chance. As it stands I don't see how. You could still try WINUAE+Shapeshifter as I ...

Check your config.sys for the drivers that are loaded. As I recall during FreeDos installation there is a specific package during setup for installing sound drivers.

On January 10, 2008 the SimCity source code was released under the free software GPL 3 license under the name Micropolis.
That's all I found regard SimCity and any mention of free (be it in beer or freedom).

Ambassador, I gave the full version a try lately, but my Eee is still not playing any sound with FusionPC. Fusion setup says there is no sound device found. Did you make sure that a driver of some sorts in being loaded during FreeDOS startup? I don't believe that is correct at all. It comes with MP...

I do not know if MOM can run in MacOSX in PearPC.
Even if it did, it would be extremely slow. You would be better off running Mac-On-Linux in QEMU PowerPC.

You will need install an Amiga-compatible operating system in the WinUAE emulator and then install Shapeshifter in that.

The problem with A/UX isn't a lack of a knowledge of the MMU (MESS 0.140 implements nearly all of the features of the 68030's MMU), it's that the 680x0 emulator itself needs to be able to interrupt instructions in the middle and restart them with no side effects. That's 1) difficult and 2) will res...

Ah, I got momentarily confused by your post. There in fact was a "Fusion" emulator that was the predecessor to FusionPC 3.0. I think it was for Amiga if I remember correctly.

Here's another combo you can try as well 24bit: WinUAE and Shapeshifter.
