Use the EIDE/IDE driver that shows up on the SCSI driver selection screen or use the driver for whatever your chipset is (there should be an option for Intel PCISet users, for instance.) Also, what version are you using?

If it's not assembler optimized but rather in Objective C or otherwise, it can be run on any make of Rhapsody.

Re: Why bother?

Still, WHY? It's a waste of your computer. And if it's there, it's there for a reason. This "Hack the planet because it's there" attitude is so flawed, because that's why computers become unstable. People install shit, and their OS goes to shit. Then I have to honestly ask you why the hel...

1) MacOSX 90% written in C++ 2) PPC emulation is real and exist but not released yet because the authors was privetly paid from Apple to delay the release (exactly until there is the release of the new OS which will be specilly for it only to let emulators 1 step behind the real Macs) 3) Don't trus...

Someone posted their 1.8GHz and 1.6GHz results but it doesnt paste well on the window... i'll e-mail it toy ou, if you ask. Also these Mac people keep saying once they have a 64-Bit OS out, their 32-bit software will run faster, this isnt true right ? 32-bit no matter what has to run in 32-b...

It is out there, a friend of mine found it at a Mac junk store(came with YellowBox SDK and DR2 install for Intel). I'm still trying to get it to work. The boot floppies which came with it work pretty well, but it stumbles and dies at detecting the CD drive. Rhapsody DR2 YellowBox by the way. I'm no...

Bah. Who needs an emulator? Really? Do you folks have _THAT_ much time on your hands that you can spend time tinkering with your PC? Beyond work, I barely touch a computer; too busy with the rest of life. I could understand maybe if you needed it for work or a contract, but beyond that, it's just fr...

Re: Wasn't there an entire thread on this subject in Delphi?

People have tried it, but I haven't heard of anyone successfully doing it. Well, one guy "says" he did it, but he's often FOS: He said that he renamed BasiliskII.exe to Explorer.exe and replaced the old Exeplorer.exe with the new one (Basilisk II). I thought that someone put together an e...

Re: PowerMac 7200 Options

I have just purchased a PPC Mac 7200/90 on eBay for £10+P&P, a good deal I believe. Nonetheless, I would like to play with this machine as much as possible. A couple of questions for anyone who knows. What size and type of Hard Disk Drive am I restricted to fitting into this machine? I know be...

AMD are not exactly saints when it comes to benchtests either, but, yes, the weight of evidence suggests that Apple are heavily misleading people over the performance of the G5. As goes the point with the AMD, I realise that the price for a 1.6GHz G5 is a disgrace, but my point was that comparing i...

http://www.theandyzone.com/Computer/shootout.html it gets even worse, the G5 single 1.6GHz is just a complete waste, how much is an AMD Athlon with that configuration ? like $200 ? the PM G5 1.6GHz at $2000 is a huge rip off. Surely the G5 does perform far better than the AMD Athlon. Just because t...

A/UX is very cool. Very, very cool. Too bad Apple had no brains and dropped it.

Then again, they gained some brain mass, and now they have a *NIX based OS.
