Classic Mac Alphas and Betas, from San Jose to Slurm.

Anything about Mac emulation that does not belong in the above categories.

Classic Mac Alphas and Betas, from San Jose to Slurm.

Post by jonirob »

Beginning in 1990, Apple began the quirky practice of renaming their unreleased Alphas and
Betas "Special" or "Help" menus.

Here is a montage of a couple of dozen of them that I've managed to emulate,
If anyone knows of any more, please tell.

The practice actually goes back MUCH further than that... here's the original Twiggy Mac OS prototype:

Apple continued to follow this practice through the alphas through System 6, too. I don't have access to those early versions though.
