For those of you compiling emulators on macOS 10.15 or later, you'll probably want to read this:

It outlines what notarization is, how it works, what it restricts and allows, etc. The comments are worth reading too.

It looks like some of the features we normally exploit to provide a seamless emulation experience on macOS are getting a bit trickier, as we discovered with SheepShaver over the past few months.

The current downloads of SheepShaver and BasiliskII on this site are notarized. Check out the first thread in each of the relevant forums.

Yes, and thanks for doing that! My reason for flagging this up is that in the future, it looks like notarization might become both more difficult and more necessary. Eventually some of SheepShaver's behavior might not meet the notarization requirements.
