I used to use http://systemsoundext.sourceforge.net/ which was great, but the contact email is dead and it hasn't been updated since 2006. Doesn't work in Catalina because it's 32-bit. Anything modern that would help play those old SNDs?
Thanks.
What can play System 7 sounds in Catalina?

Re: What can play System 7 sounds in Catalina?
What I do is open SoundEdit in SheepShaver/Mac OS 9 and convert the sounds to AIFF. Then I play the converted audio in Catalina. This fixes things like MACE compression etc. too.

Thanks. SoundEdit is another name I haven’t heard in a long time. I am looking for something that can run natively in Catalina without having to go through emulating it, but as a fallback, I appreciate knowing.
The Systemsound Extension worked so well!

Actually, I just realized that unless I need to actually edit the sound, I use SoundApp, not SoundEdit. It's great at batch conversions, and can rip all the SND resources and save them as distinct AIFF files. The later versions even have MP3 support.
