Stuffit files in Linux

Post by clarkjohnken »

Is there anything available to open stuffit files in Linux? Stuffit for Windows is helpful in some situations, and it would be nice to have the same on my Linux setup.

If your distro provides the unar package, you can use it to unpack sit files.

Note that I believe Unar only decompresses the old style Stuffit archives (1.x) and not the LZMA-style Stuffit from the late 90s.

To handle that, your best bet is Windows Stuffit Expander in WINE.
