Would you rather buy a $1000 Windows PC or a $1000 Mac PC?

I'm sitting here from a $1000 PC... I wanted the MacPro, but the apple store was basically telling me they are too unstable and have had far too many returns to sell them.
Oh well.
I can run my 10.6.2 in VMWare for glorious GCC 4.0/4.2 and I can run my VMWare ESX for work stuff.. As I mostly wanted a home lab that didn't take up all that much space.
Anyone know what is wrong with the new MacPro's?

Interesting topic from ten years ago.
