Repair Disk: bootstrap and fix emulated Macs

Post by IPalindromeI »

Get! (53 MB zipped, 100 MB extracted)

This disk can replace the hassle of assembling a bunch of disk images, finding disk tools, etc. It includes most everything for most any Mac emulator. Just set this as your first disk, and you can install the OS and repair boo-boos in the image.

Included utilities:
  • System 6.0.8, 7.0.1, and 7.5.3 installers
  • Mac OS 8 disk tools
  • StuffIt 4.0 and 5.5
  • TomeViewer
  • Norton Utilities 2.0 and 3.5.3
  • Disinfectant and Virex in case you find a virus
  • And more!
It boots a Universal 7.5.3 image, suitable for Basilisk and SheepShaver. It probably works on others too.

Thanks for your work!
Certainly a "must have" for starters.
I added .img to the expanded file and could mount it in OSX 10.6 too.

Not bad, but it could almost certainly use the System 7.5.5 update. Does the "and more!" include ResEdit (or at least Type Resolve), and maybe MacBinary II ?

(I suppose there are legal issues, but I doubt anyone particularly cares.)
