nVIR A reloaded

Post by 24bit »

Sorry to tell you guys, but Sophos reported today a Simple Text copy on one of my volumes was infected.
No damage should be done to your emulated Macs if you happened to download a file of mine recently.

Still it would be good to get rid of the little bugger. Disinfectant or Norton Anti Virus should handle that.

Always run Disinfectant Init, and for added security, GateKeeper Init. This'll keep you safe from viruses (but won't do much for word macro viruses and non-viral malware; you need Norton for that, or scanning with an external scanner such as Sophos or Intego).

I'd say that 75% of the old Macintosh files floating around places like Macintosh Garden are infected with nVir.
