4K resolution crashes Basilisk II.

I've tried several times to run the aforementioned emulator at the aforementioned resolution. Why does it crash? any help is appreciated.

My Setup (if that helps)
HP Compaq dc7800P SFF (Core2Duo E6750 @ 2.66 GHz)
250 GB SSD (WD Blue)
8 Gigabytes (4x2GB DDR2, 6400)
NVIDIA GeForce 1030 GT 2 GB
Vizio e43u-D2 4k display

Does it also happen with SheepShaver?
I'm not new to Mac emulation, but I'm new to the forum here at Emaculation.
Thank you.

I'm not experienced here but I'll try a few shots in the dark...

Does the emulator work in windowed mode?

Does your setup work on other computers?

As far as I know the emulator runs in its intended resolution(whether 640x480 800x600 or 1024x768) and only scales to full screen.

I'm having no problems running at full HD at 1920x1080

I noticed this is an old thread from August, so the OP might not actually be reading responses....

That said, I had issues running at non-standard resolutions on some older builds of BII -- it wouldn't crash, but the emulation would slow to a crawl. Recent versions for OS X and Windows don't seem to exhibit this problem though.

Make sure you're giving the emulator enough memory.

Also, it seems to me that driving a Performa at 4K resolution would be a bit unproductive - have you tried scaling 1024x768 instead?

Of course looking back at this, I actually upgraded to a newer i7-2600 based HP Compaq 8200 Elite CMT as of a year ago.

6 GB DDR3
Same SSD as before
1TB HDD
Same GPU as before

Has this issue been fixed? I got it to run at a higher resolution before but I had an issue with the window controls glitching in OS8.

BII has moved to SDL2 since 2017, so I would guess the issue's been fixed. I haven't been having resolution issues since the SDL2 build last year, anyway.
