We should probably add archive.org's classic mac software collection as well then; the one in this thread is just for the CD-ROMs.

Yes, I think that and the CD link are the only ones directly Mac-related.

The nice thing is that the stuff in that link can auto-run in the browser via the PCE/macplus JS port that was specially tweaked for use on archive.org. It also all works on Mini vMac with no modifications needed.

Archive.org is a registered archive with the Library of Congress. As such, unless it gets its license revoked, it is exempt from most copyright regulation. Since the LoC grants copyright to the original producers, it also has the ability to grant exemptions from that; Archive.org has such an exemption as its goal is to preserve data that may otherwise be lost to the sands of time.

That said, if someone went and uploaded currently selling software to the archive, the rights holder would be well within their rights to complain to Archive.org and/or the LoC that making that software available is harming the grantee. But unlike the DMCA and copyright, it wouldn't result in a takedown notice, it would result in a genuine request to have the data taken offline, which Archive.org would likely honor.

Thank you for the links, but when i switch to full screen, the screen is black, for the below game.

Browser play seems to work on my side with Brave (chromium machine).
Full screen switch on the page gives me a black screen, as you did report.
The System file on the .dsk and the game are from 1985.
Remember that 640x480 was full screen on a Mac those days, therefore I doubt there is an option to enlarge the game screen at all.

Personally I would always prefer a MiniVMac build running off-line.

Turning on pedant mode for a minute: The 128K Mac through the Mac Plus actually had screen geometries of 512x342. Even the Colour Classic needed a VRAM chip and a wiring change to get up to 640x480. In fact, the only one of the original unibody Macs that could drive a screen at 640x480 was the SE/30, and that could only do so on an external monitor IIRC.

The Javascript emulator used at archive.org is a Javascript build of PCE/Macplus, and the idea of using it there actually originated at emaculation The benefit of PCE/Macplus over Mini vMac is that it supports actual floppy emulation and SCSI emulation/passthrough, and has been modified to support Localtalk over TCP/IP. But we need to build a WebASM version of it, as the Javascript implementation is a bit slow. Plus it doesn't always seem to work in full screen mode. The offline version doesn't have those issues (it used to be slow, but has improved since then). http://www.hampa.ch/pce/pce-macplus.html for the official build (which doesn't support AppleTalk).
