SheepShaver actually implements sound fine, it's the OS that sets it up wrong, I believe I have the right steps to initialize sound here, post if you have any issues:
-Open your main hard drive (the one with the OS installed)
-Open "Apple Extras" Folder
-Open the "Sound Control Panel" folder
-Double click on the "Sound" program
-Change the drop down box from "alert sounds" to "sound out"
-Select "built in" as the sound device (was the only option for me)
I hope this works and is as good a day for all of you as it is for me!
One final note: be sure you have sound emulation enabled in the SheepShaver initialization settings, in case you had disabled it to improve speed (stupid but easily made mistake)
Have a good day all!
-Max
