Thanks to a few people's clever thoughts, it is now possible to get SheepShaver's networking working with a 2.6 kernel. How do I know it works? I'm posting this from IE 4.5 on MacOS9 in SheepShaver on my main Gentoo box running kernel revision 2.6.7. The basic info is here, but I'll try to get together some extra info (like compiling some modules into the kernel, tun support and the like) to hopefully make life easier for some people.
This is cool! I got Starcraft (mac version) installed under sheepshaver, and it actually runs smoother than the PC version running via Cedega (WineX)! Hopefully with this now I'll be able to play it online!
Networking via TUN with 2.6 series kernel!
