SheepShaver on Mac OS X Problems

Post by fher »

Hi, i'm try to run SheepShaver 20040707 for Mac OS X

Can anybody help me?

1. I don't know how to create a DiskImage to install Mac OS
2. I can't rename sheepshaver_prefs.sample to .sheepshaver_prefs, the system show me the next error... :?

You cannot use a name that begins with a dot ".", because these names are reserved for the system. Please choose another name.

Tanks! [/img]

a) Use Disk Copy (the Classic app) to create disk images.

b) Use the Terminal to rename your prefs file. You'll need to use the sudo mv or sudo cp command. Or as an alternative, log in as root and do it in the Finder. "Dot files" are visible under root and you're allowed to add the dot to file names.
