Whoa! 8O

GB is Gwenole Beauchesne dude.

Oh, you're IceDragon. Figures. :P

Anyway, I'm too dumb a beginning programmer to be capable of generating a Windows port of SheepShaver, though I've spent many, many, many hours over the last year trying via Cygwin with my fingers crossed and Google working overtime.

My Linux skills are lacking due to my aversion to Linux. Almost always various peripherals of mine don't work out-of-the-box after installing whatever distro and\or I would have some undecipherable package problem when trying to build Basilisk II or SheepShaver (the main reasons why I spend any time with Linux). I have perhaps 200 CDRs burnt with x86 and PPC distros, most of which I've tried out at one time or another.

Anyway, those are my excuses for not producing a new Basilisk II or SheepShaver executable for Windows. I am very thankful that GB took the time and effort to do it. (And put up with Windows in the process.)

I have this problem too, using the Precompiled EXE.

Hello,

I guess the best thing you can do is to use the rom from the mac os rom update. That is, if you are going to install Mac OS 8.5 or higher.
Other versions of mac os seem not to work with SheepShaver right now.

Best wishes

Hello,

First, you've some lines double in your config:

keycodes false
mousewheelmode 1
mousewheellines 3

keycodes false
mousewheelmode 1
mousewheellines 3

then, you could try to enable this:
enableextfs true
jit true

and last: are you using the correct sdl.dll?

Best wishes

I´m trying to expand Mac_OS_ROM_Update_1.0.smi.bin file with Stuffit for Windows but I´m having some trouble to get the rom to work.

It expands in two files, is this correct? no .ROM file.

Hi. Cat_7 has a good tutorial on extracting the ROM including screen shots. The rest of his site about SheepShaver is also very helpful.

I´ve extracted the ROM following the CAT_7 tutorial, but sheepshaver continues to refuse the ROM asking for a 4MB Pci Powermac ROM

how did you get the rom off of Basilisk II? you will need to transfer it over the "My Computer" Icon in BII you can't with HFV explorer.
