When I try to boot SheepShaver into OS 7.5.5-8.1 It crashes at the MAC startup screen.

Any thoughts why it err's out :(

From what I gather, OS 8.5 is the oldest version of 'Mac OS' that sheepshaver can load. If you want to run OS 7.x or 8.1, use Basilisk II.

I have an 8.6 cd what is the best way to load the os

ex. make an iso, img, etc..

or pop in the cd and boot off of it

I am pretty new to the scene so I am not quite up to speed

Its actually very simple...:D , sometimes you need the missin DLL Files , but then you can get it , most B2 uses should know..the Win32 API CD DLL is needed...otherwise it will eject the disk

It actually supports OS 7.5 and above. They are availible for PPC and 68k, so they run in both SheepShaver and BasiliskII.
